I don’t think he was drunk. I think he was sitting outside of a cafe.

She was Asian. Not sure if she was Korean. It was an ignorant comment from Teddy.

I just don't understand it if someone said squid game to an Asian person or fish and chips and the queen to an English person or pasta pasta pasta to an Italian person why would it make the news

There must be more to it or the standard of reporting is well and truly in the gutter

The girl named and shamed him on social media. These days the media tend to report whatever is trending on social media… So yes, the standard of report is well and truly in the gutter.

Real reason Sheens has taken a step back at Tigers as Madge runs out of excuses

News Corp journalist Buzz Rothfield has claimed that Wests Tigers director of football Tim Sheens is deliberately taking a step back because he wants coach Michael Maguire to be held accountable for the team’s performance.

Sheens was appointed late last year as the Tigers aim to improve on 13th and 11th place finishes in the last two seasons.

Maguire is under pressure to deliver results at the club, and Rothfield believes Sheens doesn’t want his coach to be able to point the finger if the Tigers struggle at the start of the season.

“Tim Sheens has been at pain since he arrived at Concord to point out he is not coaching the side,” Fox League’s James Hooper said on NRL 360.

“He is physically at training everyday, he is observing everything, he is highly involved in terms of recruitment and the roster management.”

“But you know why he has done that don’t you, he wants to make Madge (Maguire) accountable,” Rothfield said in reply.

“If Sheensy (Sheens) comes in and starts coaching and says pick this bloke, pick this, Madge can always come back to him and say you said this.

“He wants him to be accountable, I had lunch with Madge and Tim Sheens about three weeks ago and Sheensy said ‘look, we’re not expected to win a comp, we have got to be realistic here’ but what he did say was for Madge he just wants them competing every week.

“They can’t afford to get flogged, he wants them to turn up.”

In September last year Maguire fronted the Tigers football committee and was backed to lead the club for another season.

But after limping to 13th place last season, doubts still remain over Maguire’s coaching ability and The Daily Telegraph’s Paul Kent has named a big fault in the Tigers coaches methods.

“I think Tim Sheens is really good for Michael Maguire who can be guilty at times of micromanaging and I think that’s probably one of his problems at Wests Tigers,” Kent said.

“He wants to micromanage everybody elses job, and what he needs to be able to do is sit back trust people to do their job and at the same time he has got Tim Sheens there so when he has those moments when he wants to jump in and say ‘this is what we are going to do’.

“So what he’ll do is if he can sit back and learnt to trust Tim Sheens and be able to go in and say I am doing everything I cannot to go out there and get involved here with the kickers or whoever, and Sheensy can just talk him through it.

“That relationship has got to help Madge more than anything.”

Can Tigers click Bateman into gear?

Wearing his trademark felt fedora on a jaunty angle, Wests Tigers chairman lawyer Lee Hagipantelis lined up those heathens in the meedja in the Centurions Lounge at Leichhardt Oval on Sunday before his side’s diabolical performance against the Knights.

As colleague Michael Chammas revealed in the Herald on Monday, Hagipantelis went on a rather long-winded rant to 200 guests that “sections of the media” and their dastardly “clickbait” have been misleading the public about the fitness of English import John Bateman.
Essentially, the Tigers insist Bateman hasn’t played for the Tigers in the opening rounds because he’s “acclimatising” after arriving from England two weeks before the start of the season while some reporters wonder if it’s because he is injured.

The suspicions about Bateman’s fitness stem from the fact rival clubs wouldn’t touch the 29-year-old because of fears he is too susceptible to injury and that his body can’t withstand the rigours of the NRL. Wigan, I’m told, were more than happy to let Bateman go.
When the Tigers signed him on a whopping four-year deal, many club bosses were stunned.
Bateman was a gun player in his day, cut from the same mould as countryman Sam Burgess. But the human body can only withstand so much.
Of course, Hagipantelis, a lawyer in his day job, made it about him before Sunday’s match. He reckons “certain sections of the media” want him gone as chair.
Not this one. Much like his heavily inked chief executive, Justin Pascoe, it’s too much fun having this bloke around.

Other clubs are shitting on the Bateman signing.

Regarding Lee, I think he was a referencing an article where he was called misleading or something. Lee needs to stop the threats because he never backs up. Just shut up and sue. You don't need to keep talking about suing

It’s probably slightly skewed to portray us in a negative light, but there are some very specific details in there that I wouldn’t be surprised at all if were true.
Yep, There to draw a reaction from you to click and subscribe.

I know the club struggling atm I don't need to be reminded five times a day
