Riccio in the telegraph reckons they'll be going after George Williams, once negotiations start, it should be done pretty quickly. Whether for 23 or 24 iv no idea. He wants to come back to the N.R.L. We just need to be willing to pay the transfer fee.

It appears I'll keep repeating myself, but OK I'll say it twice this weekend.

Knights apparently wanted up to half a million a year to take on Brooks. You are going to pay Knights a million bucks to take Brooks off your hands for 2 years? That's part of the reported reason the deal was scuppered.

I am supremely bored of the arguments that Tigers could have traded Brooks or Hastings, at our own discretion or leisure, as if the Knights weren't trying to drive their end of the bargain.

Fact is they took Hastings for zero cost to us, and they released Klemmer to us in return. That deal was never on offer for Brooks.

So it's not the Tigers' fault that they supported and trusted Brooks within his current contract, and he's not repaying any of that value. He wouldn't need a fresh start or a release if he could do a half-decent job of playing halfback.

Basically said decision on Brooks should be done by Easter. Re-signing looks unlikely.

George Williams is a MUST! Having seen him play his whole career, he’s a top tier halfback. Strong ball carrier, excellent goal kicker and makes 25+ tackles a game consistently in defense. Combine that with one of the best forwards in the world in John Bateman and we have a lethal combination on that right edge! These guys are proven winners, they take losing to heart, they have pride in their performance every single week! I got the feeling in the Press C Sheen's know Brooks is done... Needs to work it so the club doesn't look bad offloading him. I hope he understands the member will be cheering if they offload him and not to worry

I've said it before and I'll say it again, he is not being used properly. Twal needs to start with Stef adding impact off the bench. Twal is great defensively but he adds no impact off the bench. Switch them around and I think we see a difference.

They have Trindall, Kennedy, Moylan and Dykes (back next year) competing for 2 positions.

I reckon we will get Moylan. Getting to the end of his career, previous injury concerns, form has been ordinary for the last 3 years and demands decent coin. Fit most of our criteria

Think weve gotta accept that the club is stuck with Brooks"$1mil+ contract this year,which fiscally were half way thru so have already paid him half of that amount.
No club,seeing Brooks performances ,will pay out the balance for this season..
But after that,hes on his own(with Isaac Moses of course) to navigate his future path wherever....unless Sheens says..nah dont even think about it!!
To be fair to Brooks,we put him in this back ended position to manage our own cap shortcomings...hes now trapped at WTs for the remainder of the season
..although like Lucy last year,u never know with the Shenius at work!

He is better than what we have at the moment, but is at a level I would describe as competent at most

Sheens saw more potential at 7 in Brooks than he did with Hastings
Pretty much the moment when Sheens lost me tbh..altho last seasons handling of Madge and premature release of key players guaranteeing the spoon had me well on the way...!
