So the five eight, full back and hooker play no role in attack only Brooks? He's the only one who can attack? The problem is that there been more than one player to blame but Brooks always gets singled out way out of proportion.

The fullback got dropped after our first two performances, Douehi got just as heavily criticised when he was at 5/8th got moved for not performing, and Api has played well for the most part of this season. We are not a charity Brooks gets a heap of money to play well as a key playmaker and that demands a certain performance level. Two halves on less money dropped this week from teams going alot better than us for not fulfilling their role.

No point trying to reason or point out logic with him, hes just a whinger.

Don't know if we are allowed to discuss footy in this thread. Just in case, I want to add that the biggest thing I noticed was no hesitation in decision making in a few key plays. He knew what he wanted to do and just did it.

When the whole game is talking about you that's not easy, so I'm very happy for him to get the credit in the media even if he was part of a team effort.

Wakeham worked well with Luke and let him make the calls he backed him up as a partner should in the halves,the backline got ball and made plenty of yards,the team all ran hard and straight with plenty of go forward,NO sidecrabbing crap that was happening before...this is the way they will win games,I hope they keep playing that way....AND in my opinion Wakeham isnt the fringe FGer most think he is,Sheens got him for a reason....

This is incorrect.

Without any TPAs Brooks is alleged to be close to 250K above the next in line.

This cant continue based on recent performance.

PS - Golden rule of negotiating, Ask WHO ARE WE COMPETING WITH TO RE SIGN HIM???

Only because he was short paid in the first 2 years of this 4 year contract. Can you logically lambast the guy for agreeing to help the club out of cap pressure?
As I recall, our CEO was calling the Brooks’ contract and its restructure a major coup and I take full credit....etc. 🤣

There would have been clubs lining up to sign Brooks on $550k for 2 years.

Your view. In 2019 halfbacks would have been as scarce as bacon in Lakemba, and that can drive up the price. Brooks’ sacrifice shouldn’t go unnoticed because it was huge.
If I pay you $600k to do a job for me, and promise to pay you in 4 years time, how much has it cost you?
