Appointment of Scott Fulton to Wests Tigers

Pretty important to understand what the head coach is seeing when he watches those recruits at work. I would imagine one could learn a lot about what traits would suit an individual coach. For example, a fullback may not trail his forwards on the third and fourth tackle and Sheens may comment that he needs to see that happening. Next time the recruitment guy is out there in the field I bet he’s looking for a fullback who supports his forwards. Maybe the lack of cohesion at Wests Tigers begins much higher up than the halves???

Fair play....
He's been in Sheens pocket for a long while though.

Don't know Fulton is the answer, But he's certainly not a downgrade.
W Mc doesn't have many resume highlights in the last decade.

Surely he's somewhat responsible for the lack of local talent we've had come through to grade
in the last 5-7 years? He was happy to put his hand up for the Simonas, Tedescos and Groats way back when...
Not many shining lights coming through behind them until now it seems....

For me it's the evidence of all the players he spotted while here with sheens who kicked on at other clubs.
Reckon the players you're referring to, Were a long way before he left in 2016....
The talented kids from his last days would've been be early 20's now...
Nothing much come through since those days until Hartigan was in the role (Maybe a bit earlier)
- Starting to see the fruits of that now...

More referring to your tedesco, Moses, n brown, papz, totola,

Even as the recruitment man, Why has he always been in the coaches box?

I don't like that either. Especially seeing he is
not in our long term plans. I don't care if he is
doing translations or making Sheens' coffee,
he has no business in that coaching box tbh.

McDonnell has been back almost a year and seemingly signed practically no one. Pellow? Is that it?? WTF has he been doing exactly? He hasn't signed any juniors, and our nrl recruits were already signed.
No one? Not sure how u come to that conclusion since he is head of recruitment until recently

Wonder if things don't work out with benji as coach, the Scott Fulton appointment might be a good contact for des hasler as future coach???
Ps: just thinking out loud, you never know, sorry I've upset anyone, bwahahahaaaaaaaa hahahaaaaaaaaaaa

I don't see the big deal where macca sits

He's probably getting shifted on soon Ink.
And will take whatever knowledge and IP
He's gathered from the time at his club with
him, that was my line of thinking anyway ...
Probably will go back 2 real estate tho haha

Mario Tartak is Benji's manager...

And Benji is one of his main clients / helped put Tartak on the map.

Tartak is very close with Fulton.

I.e. there is absolutely no way Benji was "in the dark" about all this. He would have known everything.
He is now with Matt Desira of Aria Management Group, was with Mario Tartak before then. Not sure what happened to bring the change.

Pretty sure Sheens said he's donning the hat of a head coach and also Head of Football- I can understand not telling the Head Coach but Head of Football should be the main guy recruiting the recruiter.

Even a back office signing like this seems to make headlines with us LOL.

Sounds like Fulton will be looking at signing and retaining the Top 30- sounds like he's got good connections, a name in the media, deals well with managers and knows how to manipulate the media which is essential to Top 30 squad. This seems more of a position that is based on "who you know" rather than "what you know".. hope it works out.

The club's football department is now full of people that have had past associations with the Tigers. This is a good thing up to a point. However, bringing someone in from a different system who can offer an independent perspective surely has some benefit.

I think the Tigers are now probably two or three key signings away from having a very competitive team. Scott Fulton may be the man can seal the deal on some important signing targets.

"Don't you know who I am??? My dad was Bob Fulton....
The Fulton clan run around the Northern Beaches thinking they are god's gift to everybody

They used to say his line was...

"My dad is one of the Original Rugby League Immortals, And he wants to see you playing for Manly"
