Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

The way Anasta talked about Schuster to the Tigers tonight on 360 sounded like he knew more than he was letting on. I'm more convinced than ever it could be happening.

I'll just say again that under Hasler, Schuster was good.

Under Seibold there are cracks surfacing. Fulton's, Cleal, Hasler all moved on. This is Manly royalty.

There is something wrong at that club. Josh Alioia is a team spokesperson- let that sink in. No club has come away from Seibold unscathed.

Tigers have a group of talented players coming through, but few halves. Schuster is young enough to be a part of the new generation. There's not many players as talented as he is.

And frankly- if I'm Benji, taking over in a couple of years, and there's a chance to snare the player that 'for no apparent reason' he praised as having the best rookie debut at the beginning of the season...I'd be banging the drum to make it happen. If this is going to be Benji's team- give him the guys he wants.

Great post.

Yeah I agree watched it tonight Anastasia was pretty forthright in his view, sounded like he’s one of many dominoes to fall in the coming weeks. He would have a reasonable idea as he’s a player manager himself so he’d have his ear to the ground more than most.

I wasn’t basing it on last game. I’ve rated him for a while and last week just cemented my view
I just like real speed .However we have a history of losing fast players .Addo Carr,Korobete,Papenhausen . He actually made Dragons backs look silly hope we can do the same this week

Yeah how good would it be to see Jahream open up during this game! He is apparently really quick but looks like he’s cruising (a bit like Cobbo by the sounds of it)

Des had the same problems with Schuster that Siebold is having and dropped him for it - not managing his fitness level. It doesnt matter what natural talent he has if he does not address what is needed to compete in a professional elite competition. They gave up Foran to accommodate his desire to play 5/8th and are getting better value from Cooper Johns.

Schuster to me sounds like another Owen Craigie. Craigie was more highly rated than Andrew Johns coming through the grades of Newcastle. Both have all the skills and natural ability but weight issues, match fitness and commitment to being a professional player are the issues.

Shuster would not be a good match for WT. He really needs a Bellamy type coach to realise his talents.

The Fulton family is very close with Schuster.

Bob and Scott Fulton discovered him as a 13-year-old and Bob was convinced that Schuster would be a future Manly captain.

Pretty sure he said this publicly.
Fulton, the daughter of Manly Immortal Bob Fulton who ran Manly’s pathways until late last year, took aim at Schuster on her personal Facebook page.

It was then re-posted by the administrator of a Manly fan page, which has 12,100 members.

“The solution is simple, he needs to grow up,” Fulton wrote
“Move to Manly, cut ties with the negative influences in his life, stop hanging with fans, control the diet and have the mindset and attitude he once did circa 2019. “Too many enablers and excuse makers around him. It’s always everyone else’s fault.”

Have a look at Schuster s attacking abilities in this game 4 weeks ago

If he is in our team we have no trouble scoring when in oppositions red zone
He straightens and draws defenders so well in a lot of those moves before ball playing. Better than our halves who often drift too wide and run our backs out of space to work in. Having Turbo outside him helps. Hopefully Bula can develop similarly in the next few years as an explosive fullback. Also, generally how is Schuster’s defence? If it is reasonable he is an upgrade on Douehi.

Yep, we must stop taking on other clubs problems. We have more than enough of our own. If the club sign this bloke guarantee it’s another Wests Tigers joke in a year or so.
I was more surprised by the fact that Manly have 12000 members on a forum how many do we have ?

There is no doubt that the guy has got talent, but if you have Turbo and Olakau'atu in the team that is always going to go a long way towards making you look good.

Benji is the guy who could teach him how to play properly too. Benji himself did a lot of stupid things on the field but he learned how and when to use his skills.
