He was as big a star as Jonah Pezet in the juniors last year and he just cannot crack a run anywhere in this wooden spoon collecting team? Still? GIVE HIM A RUN FFS !

Junior Tupou at centre, well surely he can't be worse than Talau.

Nobody could be worse than Tommy (No Tackle ) Talau .. he has single handedly lost us 3 games this year.... I hope Junior kills it at centre and am very happy to have Staines back.. he loves to play footy and has a real go ..we desperately need players like that

Tupou played pretty much all his junior league and Union in the centres. I think he'd feel more at home there, he looks like a natural centre to me

And we know for sure he is not a ball hog… seems to take every opportunity to set up support players that he can

Definitely our strongest squad this year.
Good on Wakeham for covering the injury holes in the halves over the last few months. All things considered, he's gone alright for being a minimum wage half. Hopefully has got lots of experience to bring back to NSW cup.
Rabbits beatable if we get a bit of luck and if the whole 17 players turn up to play. Someone please fold Latrell in half.

Season is over so getting a look at Tupou in the centres with a 5/8 that will give him hopefully good ball might give the coaches an insight on his future position, Our other half’s not getting a run in front of Laurie tells me they are not in the plans for next year.
Which I’m not to disappointed about.

Tupou played all 5 backline positions last year (1 - 5) in NSW cup. He can pass, step, kick and every time he has the ball the opposition swarm him and he has a habit of making something out of nothing. He is far more suited to centre than wing and he seems to read the game around him pretty decently.

We may as well just start the game losing 6-0 with him on a wing though as he drops a bomb or two into the oppositions lap every game.

Also what's our alternative? Poor Junior has gone through 4 or 5 different centres this year alone, he's had a front row seat on what not to do the last 20 rounds so I am sure he won't do worse. Also having Charlie and Brookes on either side of him probably gives him a ton of confidence compared to Tommy & AJ dashing out into no mans land weekly.

Praying that Latrine goes down with a season ending injury to completely derail Souffs finals chances.

Either that or he does one of his grubby acts and is suspended for the rest of the season.

Trell will be fired up , he is coming of a leg injury , so it’s simple tackle him low and very very hard from knees down , it’s not hard , take him out or get him fired up into making his mistakes or loosing it , just got to put pressure on him , and tell the boys , there are no spiders on him , gang tackle all day

Good to see someone appreciate what Wakeham did for us this year.
Ever been promoted to a job you aren’t suited for and drowned no matter how hard you struggled to swim? I have. It’s demoralising.
Brandon has done it with hundreds of thousands watching and criticising.

I'm very happy to give Tupou a bit more space in attack at centre, he'll take some time to adjust, but I think he will benefit not having to worry about defusing bombs. He's so strong and rangy, pretty much exactly what we are looking for in a centre. His ball security can be poor at times, but that's really all he needs to work on.

Tough ask this week against rabbits. Bad timing for us with Mitchell returning and team desperate to stay in the 8. Hopefully our boys will put up a solid effort for 80 but we are outclassed in every position on the field and a lot less to play for.

Tupou is more of a centre project than wing. He has a very good in and away and ability to isolate the outside defender and pop the pass to an unmarked man. Defense will be an issue to work on but the back end of this year is the time to do that with us long gone.

If he has some bad moments defensively I wouldn't fret to much, I'd be sticking with him and working on it leading into next year's pre season. He is definitely a centre IMO.

Yes of course Latrine has to be back this week! 🙄 In all honesty Souths are pretty ordinary without him, they’ve struggled a bit this year with him out long term. We may have had the chance of an upset, especially with some of our guys back on deck, but I don’t think so now.

Brooks was playing on the left in the training vision. Wouldnt be surprised if they play a more traditional 6 and 7 role though.
