Rex was fair. He'd give it to Manly more if they deserved it.
You could tell he had a soft spot for the Magpies and in particular Tommy.
Recall Rex mentioning that he grew up in Canada Bay and that his father played for Wests before being wounded in WWI in France from memory.

But he certainly liked seeing guys standing up for themselves and the maggies certainly ticked that box as well.
 
I remember being oblivious to the net... Didn't have a clue what it's about... I'd see billboards on roads and adverts on the side of buses with www addresses.... Thought it was all just advertising

Then when mystep daughter got a pc for school a few years later I showed my old man how I could play pool with someone from Europe... Thought that would impress him

Might of thought that dutchy holland was part of this winning team- their attack in those times was matthews,Murray Bennett and Dutchy.
