I never thought Junior Pagau would get a run in the NRL after some very poor performances with us a couple of seasons ago, and there he is in the Roosters line up on numerous occasions last season doing a decent job and re signed. AJ could certainly find a place somewhere and go OK.

Look Hasler went into a Manly side that was struggling under Trent Barrett and totally got them firing. Sure it's Manly a club where he is kinda like their favourite black sheep. Sure he cheated heavily at the Bulldogs but hey he got the club to the finals! (from memory it was his Dog team that kicked our butts).

100% Hasler with the 2023 squad would get us 12th, minimum. More then that if Hasler coached the Tigers for 4 years we would get a finals appearance, min top 4 at least once.

Flanno, Yea... IMHO our biggest mistake was picking Gartiner as the assistant to Madge instead of Flanno + Cayless. Flanno wouldn't have gotten us 17th with the 2023 squad and at Cronulla he focused on the forwards so I think he would have done the same here. Could see Bula playing a very similar role to Barba at Cronulla.

2022 totally different ballgame. Ofcourse Hasler wasn't on the market then but if he was with us no wooden spoon. Flanno and almost all coaches would have struggled. I reckon we wouldn't be spooners in either case.

I feel like we could have done worse than getting in Des. I can’t remember the timeline and if he was available when we were looking for a coach, but if he was and we decided on Marshall instead, then someone is taking the piss.

I don’t blame him persay.
I blame his coaches. They showed blind faith and seemed to do nothing to develop him.

I reckon they should check between his toes for webbed feet to go with his flipper hands, he could get a gig with the Tigers water polo team at Drummoyne pools.
We needed to be more ruthless with this kid long ago, now he is costing us a spot. The fact we can’t get rid of him says it all. Anyway I’m sick of waiting, I want players who can play good football now, not in the past or sometime off in the distant future.

I understand. When we made the trade it was
him or Christian Tuipulotu from the chooks. You
don't have to be happy with how it worked out.
I'm sure he isn't too, nor is the club/fans, I get it.
I'm just not draining him down the sink that's all..

I agree mate.

I don’t ever think he will be a superstar, however he has a lot to offer a squad. Versatility is massive. He is a great squad player.

If he turns into more even better.

But if he is in our 13 round 1 2024. We are in trouble.

All of them at Wests Tigers certainly slants the view on those stats.

On Kepoa. Tuipalotu who was highly rated isn’t looking much better and he starts for Manly. Both of these boys probably reached their ceiling at the Roosters and was moved on for that reason.

On Olam. Has anyone noticed Olam’s defence post Ado Carr?
Word is Ado Carr has a huge voice on the field and does a lot of organising on the edge. Still Olam plays in a defensive system like the Storm and still occasionally looks like he tries to solve the problem on his own rushing up.
His perfect partner was Nofaluma as they both play similar with rushing up out of the line trying to cut the shift down before it happens.
