Clubs could effectively wait and submit
offers, resetting the 10 day period every
10 days if that's the case. It's between our
offer and Penriths. He's told his friends &
teamates it's ours he wants. Dogs don't
have a horse in this race. No official offer.
They're waiting on the 10 day window which
will be closed soon, sounds confusing but
it's true. He's told teamates where he's going.
I hope that helps. I won't say anything
more until we get an official announcement.

Do you think the Panthers will forfeit the 10-day period so we could sign early. I was thinking they might so the media can close it off and they don't have the media circus carrying on every day.

Yeah it’s not very clear is it. I think Penrith could speed it all up by telling Luai they won’t match our offer. Just hoping there’s not another club out there willing to up the freight on what’s been reported.

Sorry, I should clarify. He would have to
reject our offer in order to consider another.
He notified his club & mates of his intentions
today. Canterbury send him an offer 2morro
but it won't mean shit. He wants to play
under Benji & his Panthers bros have
already spoken to people that know ppl
where he's going. Richos appointment helped
too I'd hazard a guess. Pop the champagne

I mentioned earlier that they're giving him
this grace period to reconsider. He's been
with them since he was a teen, that's all
that is. They won't waive anything, he's still
on their books for next year, hope that helps

Another shit rule that favours the strong clubs over the rebuilding ones , effectively freezing recruitment for the wooden spooners for two weeks while we wait for the outcome.

Bags, it's the first proper test of the new
contract laws. I think everyone is just really
playing by the books at this point. No way
our friends from Penrith will waive their
offer. They're doing the right thing by him

I think they are. Partially why Richo pulled
out the other day to make our intentions
clear. Penrith management are still cut
about how Gus left them & lied about how
he wasn't going to poach their coach &
players. I think Ivan is doing us a favour
in this regard also. It sounds crazy, I know!

Actually no, that's not possible for any player under contract any more. Everyone must do the 10 days, unless the current club rescinds their right of response
