2024 Pre-Season

I think I’ve discovered why we have no defence.
It’s touch footy at training?

Twal has that weird serial killer look going on? Or is it a Frankenstein look?
Also thought he was bigger too?

10 key personnel changes this off-season / pre-season to get excited about …

1 - Barry O’Farrell as Interim Chair: brings credentials, know-how, passion for WT & knowledge of the SW region.

2 - Richo as Interim CEO: one if the best RL administrators, commands respect, a winner.

3 - Betsey as Interim Head of Football: came with credentials & has taken our pathways program to new levels, will help greatly with the transition of our juniors into football program & provide experienced support for Benji.

4 - Benji as HC: a winner, connections everywhere & has players inspired to play for him.

5 - Johnny Morris: brings the experience & knowledge to support Benji from his roles at Sharks & Rabbits. Like having another HC.

6 - Api as Captain: not a change but will be more comfortable in the role & already said he’s going to put his foot down as a leader to help Benji set the standards.

7 - Hail Sezer - no game-breaker but brings that cool head, experience & game management we lacked last season for our young backline. No slower than Hastings! Will be an important asset for both Api & our young 5/8 this season (Bud or Fainu).

8 - Latu Fainu - arguably the best 18yo in the game this season, composure beyond his years & great defence against men.

9 - Lachlan Galvin - the best schoolboy in the game this season, could be anything, already best endurance athlete in club, could excel in halves, centre, lock, fullback, backrow.

10 - to be announced!!!

Love reading you insights to our lower grades and positive vibes for WT in general.
Too many wet blankets finding faults with just about everything positive that's mentioned on this forum.
Of cause there is always a flip side to every comment; but the wet blankets can't help themselves coming out with their negativity as if they are the only ones that can see it.

Thanks @Tiger Stripes

Now I can add in number 10 - Jarome Luai: despite not playing for the club in '24, the knowledge that he is coming will lift the club from the office to the playing group.
