David Nofoaluma #164

i mentioned in another thread that benji was very clear with nofo around where he stood with the club and he would likely not play first grade again with the club and he is free to leave

the reported 300k is correct, the relationship between nofa and the senior playing group and staff is nearly untenable

super league clubs happy to take him, but wants to stay in the nrl

the news has been leaked via davids manager

Exciting times ahead...

So his options are;

A) Get paid and start fresh, doing something else
B) Get paid 525k a year for two years to play reserve grade
C) we some how find a club willing to take him at some cost

I noticed he was training with Andrew Kazzi and a few other lads who have given up on the NRL dream long ago.
Isn't there a "D" option?
3 breach notices and the sack? $0000

Mario Tartak is Nofo's manager...he will want revenge after the club punted Fulton
Mario Tartak is under the microscope himself after making Volkman ‘stateless’ after getting him to sign a deed of terminaton and release from the Warriors before the Dragons decided not to register his contract with the NRL, thus leaving Volkman destined for season-ending shoulder surgery without a club contract.
I think Tartak would rather be in a tent in the Gaza Strip at the moment … take the 300k Nofo, Tartak will be avoiding the limelight for a while.

Mario Tartak… another scumbag in the same mould as Isaac Moses

What I haven't quite understood is why we are paying him anything if he has been served a termination letter?

When you are terminated, you have breached contract, so you don't get the big golden handshake.

Is it just a gesture of goodwill to try to fix the issue quickly?
I think these are warning letters. From the club’s point of view he is being warned that he may be in breach of his contract.

You would think Nofo and his manager would be doing everything they can to get out of the WT and move onto another club with a fresh start… but nope the dumb ass is doing everything possible to drag this out in the mud
he has zero tact. his ego has gotten so big he struggles to see the wood for the trees. there isn't a single scenario from here on that doesn't involve him being dragged out kicking and screaming.

Sw him play for WT in that winning 20's GF team a few years back coached by Todd Payten when we had Korobiete on the other flank. He played great that day and, to be fair, has gone pretty well in many games since but pretty clearly he has no future with us now. Getting the RLPA involved over his apparent problems with Benji's new training regime would have gone down like a lead balloon with a lot of people especially our new CEO!

It’s sad that so many of our longest serving players have had periods where they have fallen out with the club. Benji, Farah, Heigno, Gibbs and now Noffa. I know Heigno and Gibbs didn’t really “fall out”, but they were club stalwarts who should have played their entire career here. The only long serving player, who was here from start to finish was Lawrence.

I disagree. He is still probably the best winger at the club for churning out hard metres off kick returns & early hit ups.

He is guilty of being overpaid & sounding entitled & probably being slower than we are used to.

His defence is pretty average, but then so is the defence of whoever stands next to him most games.

And he's probably our safest catch under a high ball.
I'd agree with this.
