David Nofoaluma #164

Kaito. If you ran across him in another land, where there is no NRL, judging by your posts, integrity and intellect, you would not act to David, the way you write about him. Im sure there would be some sort of communion.

Ultimately this is how I feel as well.

However I question how much blame is on the Nofoaluma and how much is on the club.
Yes, it appears as though he has an attitude issue but attitude is typically the product of the environment. Simply saying "suck it up you're paid well" is easier said than done when he has seemingly had a poor work environment for years.
Also question how much truth there is to Nofoaluma's complaints to the RLPA. If he was truly told he will never play first grade for the club again and singled out with unjust training expectations, then again it is no surprise he would have a bad attitude. It appears just as likely the club was trying to rid themselves of a poor contract, moreso than Nofoaluma being the problem.
It additionally could be simply Marshall having a personal dislike of Nofoaluma. He used to have a reputation for being quite vindictive.
Not saying any of the above is or isn't accurate. I just think there is just too much grey area to jump on the Nofo hate train.
.
Anyways, he's gone now and ultimately I think the club is better for it whomever is to blame for how his time with the club ended.
The singling out and being told he wasn't going to play 1sts was Because of his poor attitude not the cause of it. Nofa came back to training too out of shape to perform his duties and was getting flogged in fitness and running drills by the props.

Also don't forget this is the same Nofa who got dropped by Madge and when playing reggies, barely got himself involved, got moved to fullback and walked all half and his media response to his reserve grade poor performance was that he was too good for reserve grade.

David Nofalouma is a cancer to a footy club and it's 💯 on David

Pretty sure most players who go over to England while still contracted, pretty sure their NRL contract is null and void. Which if the case, he’s done well to get a partial pay out from us, on top of whatever Salford pay him.

Huh???

He didn't get released to the UK while "still contracted"...

He signed there after being sacked- and pocketing a very generous good-will termination payment of $300K to expedite the process.

The only thing he did well was to finally accept the offer rather than fight the termination and end up with nothing!

How do you know he didn't? Were you at the meeting?
Stop trolling!!

It's recorded fact!!

If Salford had wanted him while under contract - they would have had to pay full freight for two years and we could have even stipulated a transfer fee to the club...

We paid $300K to expedite his termination after serving him with a show cause notice!

My point wasn’t the technicalities of whether he was sacked or not. He’s out of his contract with us, pocketing around 300k, now has a contract in England. Most players who go to England don’t go over with a pay out from their former club.
