Great times maybe as a result of what he was able to achieve at Souths?100%! People seem to forget that his joining us was conditional on commitments from HBG. Richo hasn’t stopped talking about Souths since he arrived 😂 so they must have been great times?
While I got a kick out of his “turkeys don’t normally vote for Christmas” line,
Tigers are a more attractive job for Richo as his final innings. Makes zero sense to go back to South’s he trained and appointed Blake Solly and others to take over.
souths would me a much easier gig than tigers
they have a team that with the right coach can compete for premierships, we are mot there yet
we have currently stadium issues and HBG not currently agreeing on all recommendations
Crowe can open the cheque book
Why do you say HBG aren't agreeing on all recommendations J_T?
I just think the process has gone too far without this important recommendation (3 independent directors) being implemented. And the recommendations?
Plan BIf this is correct, it looks like HBG didn't re-visit and lock in Richo's extended 6 month interim contract.
Hopefully they have a plan B,.. but I doubt it.
Plan B Leck 'could be'....... HBG want out.......new owners reqd.If this is correct, it looks like HBG didn't re-visit and lock in Richo's extended 6 month interim contract.

I agree, but if the person who conducted the review is concerned enough to call for the new chair to publicly endorse the recommendations then that is enough for me to be worried about this.I just think the process has gone too far without this important recommendation (3 independent directors) being implemented.
If they backlip, the PR damage to themselves (Romero, Burgess) & HBG will be immense.
It’s like the Brisbane 2032 Olympics & the initial plans by the Govt for the Gabba to be redeveloped as the main stadium. Now Govt has backlipped and will cost them the next election. Yes very different situation but similar in the PR impact of a backlip on something that had majority support & creation of excitement and hope in a community.
I don't think that is the situation.Plan B Leck 'could be'....... HBG want out.......new owners reqd.
PR doesn’t matter when you’re a protected species. The whole problem with HBG.I just think the process has gone too far without this important recommendation (3 independent directors) being implemented.

I don't either, but it's an interesting question. Are HBG in it for the club or the pocket.I don't think that is the situation.
If the recommendations are not implemented, then in my opinion it will be because some people have put self interest ahead of the club.I don't either, but it's an interesting question. Are HBG in it for the club or the pocket.
The problem is that they amature hacks. These directors are nothing more than custodians for the club. They do not own it personally, they are agents for their members. I hope to god they don't let their self interests get in the way as it looked like we had finally broken through.I don't either, but it's an interesting question. He’s said very directly this challenge is not for him if they don’t follow through with governance changes.Shane strikes me as a man who loves a challenge he also seems to be a man that does not like to fail or leave something unfinished I cannot see him going anywhere
