I don't feel Richo will go to Souths, as he said he will stay with WTs if HBG implement Board changes.
But...if HBG don't make the recommended changes, I reckon it'll be because they no longer want to be the owner of WTs.
And if that happens it'll be hello to a whole new kettle of fish.

I just think the process has gone too far without this important recommendation (3 independent directors) being implemented.

If they backlip, the PR damage to themselves (Romero, Burgess) & HBG will be immense.

It’s like the Brisbane 2032 Olympics & the initial plans by the Govt for the Gabba to be redeveloped as the main stadium. Now Govt has backlipped and will cost them the next election. Yes very different situation but similar in the PR impact of a backlip on something that had majority support & creation of excitement and hope in a community.

I agree, but if the person who conducted the review is concerned enough to call for the new chair to publicly endorse the recommendations then that is enough for me to be worried about this.

This all goes away if the chair publicly states the recommendations will be action as planned.

PR doesn’t matter when you’re a protected species. The whole problem with HBG.

In a couple of months, Richo and Benji have got the house full signs up at our home games, coming off 2 spoons.

If HBG can’t see the importance of keeping them together long term, they aren’t acting in the best interests of WT and should relinquish ownership.

The problem is that they amature hacks. These directors are nothing more than custodians for the club. They do not own it personally, they are agents for their members. I hope to god they don't let their self interests get in the way as it looked like we had finally broken through.

But the chair change after the review spooks me considerably.

He’s said very directly this challenge is not for him if they don’t follow through with governance changes.
