Two sweep plays to the right with the ball passed/batted on behind his attackers!

Half a pace off with everything...

I am sure Billy was happy to see him back in (and I'm not a big fan of Dylan but happy to give credit where due)!
 
Paddy Carrigan 130m at the half in an origin. He's
a guy I want to hate on but can't. Thought without
Flegler & Tino there would be some issues. The
send off hurts but was probably deserved. Look like
initial contact was to the chest and the whiplash
flung Reece's head forward onto Suali'i's shoulder

Mate I like him and want him to do well. But picking zero coverage for the backline immediately ended the game. If Burton was on the bench we have a slight chance. He only knows one way. I hope he wins it, I really do, but John Cartwright should have been the coach.
 
Sualli tackles like that in most games and gets away with it - i.e. leads with the shoulder. Cant wait to see the grading - will probably get a fine and no suspension.

Even Latrell's greatest admirers know he is not up to rep footy at his current level of fitness and general commitment!

But NSW definitely need some threat from dummy half - so Maguire needs to swallow his pride on that one and bring Api back to start in game 2!
 
The QLD attack is clunky and defence not brutal enough. Plenty of errors and infringements as well. NSW are completing better, and despite less possession, are leading several stats in attack. Certainly throwing it around more.
Had the Walsh incident not occurred, I’m not convinced QLD would be ahead. Need to switch on….lose this game and they’ll never ever hear the end of it.
 
How many more times is Klein going to be used in important games? We have been on the wrong end of his terrible decisions before. It's an insult to the fans.

Yes they have their moments but nothing as embarrassing as NRL

Nicho Hynes looks like he's suffering from a bout of stage fright! Can someone get Jarome Luai to put the No.7 jersey on at half-time? The Blues need someone to take this game by the scruff of the neck but Hynes looks timid and unwilling. Before picking his team for game one, NSW coach Michael Maguire was looking for players that walked towards pressure, not away from it. In the last two weeks, Hynes has ran from it.

"It looks like the wheels are starting to fall off a little for the Blues. Not a good sign when, on the last tackle, Reece Robson struggles to make it to dummy half, Nicho Hynes fills in at hooker and Zac Lomax is forced to put up an ordinary kick that saw Queensland start the set with all the momentum. Then they just exposed the Blues for numbers on the same edge Suaalii would've been defending. This could get very ugly
