In his line of work, he and those around him need a thick skin. It’s not like anything has been said about him that’s over the line and personal. People just want the team to win, and whether she like it or not, the coach cops the brunt when you aren’t winning.

I think there was plenty wrong with it in hindsight because Sheens didn't want that role, he wanted to coach. Got what he wanted and showed yet again he was past it, setting us back further then ever.

Both those teams have won more than 2 games and are not wooden spoon candidates or favourites for spoon. Tigers don't look like winning a game and have become the laughing stock of the NRL. Coach has to take responsibility for that!

I think I’d have to challenge that GT, coz the Bennetts, Bellamy’s, Clearys and Robinson of the world seem to have that something extra that ;
1. Can clearly identify issues and
2. Create tactics to overcome them.
I believe that those coaches would reorganise and renergise our team in a fairly short space of time coz they give and demand respect from everyone in the club. That’s why they’re the best .

Could not have realistically waited for Bennett, it would have meant using an interim coach for all of 2019.

As for Flanagan I'm glad they didn't pursue him, IMO he should never have been allowed back for what he did at Sharks. He's a dangerous cheat and I'm not going to ever forget it.
 
How many Bulldogs fans wanted Ciraldo out after last season where they had the worst defence in the competition? Look at them now flying high 3 wins in a row, playing some real gritty tough footy & into the top 8. And seeing the effect that Stephen Crichton has had on that team gives me great confidence that Luai is going to come here & do the exact same thing. I’m not saying that this will happen to us next year but things take time there are processes & it’s important you stick to them instead of changing plans whenever things get tough. Have a listen to what Phil Gould said on 100% footy tonight about WT’s. Provided some real good & smart analysis.

Realistically we could have done whatever we wanted. It would have turned out great too because Bennett was sacked anyway.

Flanagan was always going to be a controversial one, but we were in no position to be picky. If we were a consistent top 6 side, I'd agree with you, but we have been perennial losers for 10 years straight. At what point do you just accept the best candidate for the job over alter boys?

Wts supporters are going to remember 3 consecutive spoons a lot longer than what Flanno did to win a premiership
Forgive but not forget
Signing an untried coach with minimal credentials was a disgrace,and set the club back another 2 or 3 yrs...maybe more as there are no stand-out alternatives available atm

Ciraldo was an assistant at Penrith for years. Apples and oranges comparing him and Benji.

I'll challenge that.
What he did was smart.
He hired a sports scientist for an edge.
unfortunately that scientist dabbled in a gray area that was deemed illegal.
Smart idea but wrong guy.

He is a fantastic coach though and i guarantee when the results would come people will quickly forget, saints fans have.

Gus knows how to build a squad. The reason Ciraldo is going better this year is because of the depth of the squad that Gus has recruited. The difference they have made is blatant for all to see. Treacy was always a FG player stuck in ressies at Cronulla. Crichton is marquee. Add Salmon, Curran,Xerri, Taffe, Sexton, Hutchison, all seasoned FG ers and the form of Mahoney, Burton, Kikau, and JAC has benefited. And then an injection of some new young players ie Blake Wilson and they are looking top 8.
Love him or hate him he is the best administrator in the game and worth what ever he is getting paid

For some of the reasons you have stated is why i think it is imperative we go for Euan Aitken, Jarrod Wallace, Jarule skelton, Drew Hutchinson (he is out of favour) Angus Crichton, Nathan Brown, Cotric, Matty Lees etc
