Common sense ? very objective mate, who knows how they fit in at training? Or who the Broncs have coming through to replace the left or right centre? So many factors can influence a result that saying common sense doesn’t mean it’s a done deal in any way. Who the hell knows , but I do know that I would love to see SelWyn Cobbo running off Jarome Luai at Leichardt oval on a Sunday in a Wests Tigers jersey… absolutely 🤗

Side note: I posted at the start of the year that Duncan would be looked at and have now been told that’s looking like a pipe dream and significantly unlikely. He isn’t in position to talk to clubs until November but still the view is he won’t be coming here if he does leave. Rugby union would be the biggest threat if he were to depart.

Something is up with Cobbo, noticed the last few weeks he’s been really down in the effort areas. A lot of walking out there. Not surprised he was left out of origin. Perhaps contract related.
 
Broncos must be sailing close to the wind with all the players they have to fit under their cap. With Haas and Walsh on mega deals their is no explanation for how they could possibly retain all in their current squad at market value. Their has to be some movement there for the right money

He's one who will break out immediately and settle in to first grade fast.
Much like Cobbo, Mariner, etc.

He's kinda a next man up type signing.
If we got in early and made that deal, it'd be a fantastic move.

Billy Slater said there are things in his game he needs to work on. Usually QLD pick and stick with their players.

AFL and Rugby Union background as well.

The kids an athlete and for his size very quick.
 
I’m sure broncos would prefer to keep Cobbo over Staggs but that would also cost them an extra $400-$500k that they probably won’t have. Id imagine they would want to free up some cash to fix their depth that has been found out big time this season too. Cobbo is a gun when his head is in the game, if he could cut the silly errors he will be a top 5 outside back in the comp in a few years time

We’ve often seemed to struggle signing QLDers. Maybe that’s about to change, now that we have a QLD CEO?

I wouldn't be surprised if they don't work too hard to keep Stef. But I can't understand if that's the case why they'd offer him $800k a year in the first place. You'd make an offer that he'd find unacceptable.

They will know he’s a QLDer when he sits at the negotiating table. I think the last QLDer we signed, told us that no other club wanted him, but we still had to fork out $600k.
