One thing that is probably certain now is that the Democrats are stuck with Sleepy Joe now because if he pulls out and lets someone take his place leading up to the election he will look like a coward and that he is too scared to continue on.
Meanwhile, Trump, who is a convicted Rapist and Felon has his ear bandaged up and goes and plays golf, sinks a difficult 20 foot putt and is heard to say, "The difference between me and the shooter is that I didn't miss."
I think that it may very well be game, set and match unless they can find a better shooter.

Nobody actually has any genuine moral convictions when it comes to politics. People will believe anything, justify anything, or oppose anything depending on whether it happens to their team or the other team.

But mate, it's not because of indoctrination. Donald IS a threat to democracy. Last time, he tried to stay in power. Hitler is only used as a comparison because he's the most notable fascist, but it's hyperbole so that people take it seriously. Project 2025 is a testament to that.
He's doing similar things to the rise of fascism in other countries. Undermining the media, consolidating power in other branches of government, having the party be obstructionist in parliament... even using a phrasing from Hitlers Mein Kampf "positioning the blood"
So, people talk about it, and rightfully so. You can't say this is "indoctrination". It's not. It's rightfully pointing to valid concerns that Donald could quickly put to bed with his actions and words.
But stand back and stand by if you so wish.

Woke no longer exists, it's a hysterical concept radicalised by conservatives who want a catch-all to point fingers at and be upset about. It's the equivalent of "back in the day", when everything that used to be "wholesome and tough" needs to come back, and everything that isn't "wholesome and tough" is "woke".
Nobody self-identifies as "woke" any longer, not since it was originally used by the black community to identify as being aware of social justice issues. The purple-haired Lezzos are not necessarily on board with the Black Lives Matter folks, nor are the Trans activists in league with the rest of the LQBTQINFOIF people. The Furries aren't necessarily Leftists and the "Me Too" movement more or less included half the population as a backlash against common sexual harassment. Some Lefties are quite radical and militant.
So anyone who says "ah they are all woke" honestly doesn't know what they are specifically talking or complaining about. It's a generalised complaint at a group of people who don't actually exist.
Conservatives are a little bit different because they self-identify as being conservative. Not always conservative about the same thing, but they generally pitch themselves as preferring the same kinds of things: small government, personal development vs govt handouts, "traditional" or "family", values, often but not always religious.
So to say "mainstream media has gone woke" has no real meaning. For any left-leaning article on MSNBC there is some right-wing piece in Murdoch press. Mainstream media is roughly as divided into Left and Right leaning as politics is; they almost always mirror each other. So for example when a country goes very Right wing, like Russia, so does the media. When it goes Left-wing Communist, the media goes with it and ends up the same propaganda-based state as the Far Right.
However I do agree with you about Social Media, in terms of it being quite toxic and I look forward to what I believe is a slow general trend away from consideration of social media as having any particular importance for politics or news (as opposed to kids using it to dance like idiots or take photos of their avocado toast).
