He has nothing to work with ! Overrated - I bet alot of touch players wish they won an nrl comp, played and captained their country won a golden boot, played over 300 games.
When he has the team he wants and deserves, judge then. Bateman was a dud before he came here, stef is kickin stones because he’s a sad poly and that spreads like cancer, Bula needs to grow a pair, and we haven’t had a decent back 5 in ten years.
I could go on for pages, we knew 2 years ago , 3 years ago we were rebuilding, trying to focus on juniors, and had poor leadership off the field for what 9 - 10 years ?
They won;t come to West Tigers if Benji is coaching.
Benji never served his coaching apprenticeship and the result is there for all to see. He has bit off more than he can chew.

If Bennet had Bateman, api, paps, Stef, klem, bula, sezer, galvin, Samuela, olam… he would not win the wooden spoon.

A lot of his new "identity" he's created is around being a Bulldogs player.
Jeral is off contract ( mention @jrtiger , who's been name dropping him for a while now ).

Who is genuinely available or likely to be - to replenish our stocks - coaching staff and players. Richo has his work cut out - I just hope he is pulling lots of strings!

I know it’s extremely unlikely that Ronaldo Mulitalo would ever leave the Sharks. But maybe he would for the right pay.
He runs with so much intent and venom, has a great jump on him and pretty safe under the highball. Personally judging by our outside backs I’d say $600,000 - $700,000 isn’t out of the realm of possibilities. What would you offer?

Sorry, but calls to sack Benji now is mad. You think players don’t want to come here now? Sack another coach and then see how we go in the player market. Not saying he is a good coach but we have two options. Sack Benji or keep Benji. Extremely easy decision - for now.

Disagree on multiple fronts. None of the players you’ve mentioned have gone “backwards” without reason. How exactly has Paps gone backwards? He actually looked great last game and last year he wasn’t the dally m sr but he was pretty consistent just not the standards most expected. Api missing origin has nothing to do with Benji, Madge has a game plan that didn’t involve a crafty dummy half that simple. Bateman has been the same shitty player as he was in SL so no surprise there and as for Stef besides that breakout 2021 season has he ever been consistent enough so say he was a better forward.
We definitely don’t have a team that should be challenging for the eight. Tell me how many of our players if they went to any of the top 10 clubs would fit in? Besides Api, you could argue none of them make the cut for any other team. I’m not the type of fan who jumps off the coach after less than 1 year. If next year Benji continues to struggle then yes, call for his head but until then I will not judge him to harshly for this year.
