That sort of talk is heavily frowned upon round here.
A bit like, "Don't mention the war."

Yep that right backrow spot is the conundrum to use one of my favourite words lolRichardson's done an incredible job with the outside backs. the purchases of Skelton and Turuva plus the emergence of Makasini and Laulili'i will mean that guys like To'a, Doueihi and Staines – who were a constant presence in first grade last year – will rightly be pushed down the depth chart.
the depth in the middle has also improved with May and Bird coming across, plus the emergence of Johannssen and Sione.
fix the depth issue in the back row and we're just about there.
Seyfarth's really the only one realistically.Yep that right backrow spot is the conundrum to use one of my favourite words lol
I was thinking on a long work drive this morning, is there anyone in our squad who would be worth developing in the backrow immediately & may be a diamond in the rough if they potentially have a better future there then in their current position?
Saukuru - too inexperienced & would lack the tank, maybe in 3-4 years.
Skelton - we need him on the wing, maybe in 2-3 years if he desires the move.
Doueihi - lacks in effort plays & question mark on physical contact in D.
Naden - his papers are stamped.
Johannssen - like others have said he has the attributes & could be a bolter but it may disrupt his development in the middle. But in saying that could be a revelation!
Lobb - slowish winger with a year left on his dev contract. Very fit guy but question marks on his physicality despite his size. Worth a shot if he was coached into it as a chance to extend his NRL career. I'd be holding onto hope of a Shaun Lane type evolution with Lobb.
Seyfarth - I have some faith that Seyfarth can develop into a solid workhorse effort backrower who can hit a hole & really develop his game there if his sole focus is on that position.
I doubt that's his mindset.... He'd be found out pretty quickly if it were by his training attitude and playing formeven if it isn't his ceiling, he's not doing himself any favours by sitting in Cup happy to just collect his paycheck.
Mentioned Lobb in backrower thread no chance on the wing so why not train him all summer at second row but Johanssen my pick after round 10 when he can playYep that right backrow spot is the conundrum to use one of my favourite words lol

Why is he set to sign?It seems he's a bit of a nut job. He's set to sign up if things go his way. Let's see how that all goes for him.
It was on the pody with James Graham. His answer to most interesting person you know, Terrell answered my younger brother. Can’t remember word for word but said similar to the following “I’d love to know what’s going on in his mind he is a different person day to day sometime hour to hour, he can love you one moment and want to kill you the next.”What did he say?
Tumeth is the other one who has the ball firmly in his court. He has the perfect opportunity to become a regular first grader if he wants it. I doubt he will hit it back over the net though, unfortunately.Seyfarth's really the only one realistically.
Skelton might have some upside in terms of a conversion but as you said right now he's the first winger picked and likely will be for another couple years. Saukuru has some upside there but by the sounds WT want him to become a winger. he's been training on the left wing all preseason.
Lobb doesn't possess the toughness nor the love of contact required to be a backrower unfortunately. Doueihi and Naden the same. Johannssen I really only see as a middle.
we're gonna need Sukkar to have an absolute stormer of a preseason.
I hear that the deal will be locked in once the Translator arrives from the Old Dart in order to assist Bateman in mentoring the talented bunch of younger forwards.John Bateman has decided against advancing talks with the Rabbitohs – with a Queensland club emerging as a potential home for the English international.
South Sydney had been considering signing Bateman on the basis of his elite-level experience, hard-nosed mentality and likelihood that the Wests Tigers would contribute to a large portion of his salary.
However, it’s understood Bateman advised the Rabbitohs over the past 48-hours that he wouldn’t be pursuing any opportunity with the club.
Instead, it’s the Cowboys that have emerged as a possible destination for Bateman.
The 31-year-old would add a required toughness to their forward pack, while also proving a valuable mentor to the club’s talented batch of younger forwards including Heilum Luki, Reuben Cotter, Jeremiah Nanai and Griffin Neame.
It’s believed initial discussions have been held between Bateman and the Cowboys.

I think Tumeth's in a good position as you say but I just don't see it.Tumeth is the other one who has the ball firmly in his court. He has the perfect opportunity to become a regular first grader if he wants it. I doubt he will hit it back over the net though, unfortunately.
I would like to see what Johannssen has to offer on an edge. Worth taking a look at; although I'm not overly optomistic.
That was EXACTLY the point I was making.People compared Brooks to Johns too.
My point is, I wanna see it before putting pressure or expectations on a kid.
Cheers.People compare blokes coming through all the time, it’s human nature. I don’t reckon Big Mak, (he needs Maccas sponsorship asap), is reading the WTF is see what @Kelce68 reckons, and if he is, then he’s got issues. What is important, is the people around him, the people Big Mak respects and listens to, that they are not telling him he’s the next Folou or Inglis.
Love ya work @Kelce68, you too Bags.
What about his baby face, he looks 15 until you pan back and realise that head is atop of a small mountain.
I think it'll be Api while on-field and probably Tallyn while he's off it tbh.Still worried with goal kicker- it cant all be on Api. Assuming Doueihi is in KOE and rarely in NRL, or gone. Lobb hasnt earned a spot. Who else is there? I believe Laui can kick but again wouldnt want him to be doing it all.
As to the other conversation on backrower- yes, I think Seyfarth has the inside running at the moment from who we have available. Hopefully we can recruit / swap for a useful kicker.
Biy of a red flag imo knowing what we already know... Sounds like a lunatic... Dunno why so many seem so keen on him coming here.. Just sounds like a headache we don't needIt was on the pody with James Graham. His answer to most interesting person you know, Terrell answered my younger brother. Seyfarth is most likely to start imo. Although I'd prefer him on the bench as he can cover both middle and edge. I'm not sure who else will fill the role on the bench in 2025? maybe there won't be any edge coverage on the bench and Birds moves to edge and a bench player goes to lock.Tumeth is the other one who has the ball firmly in his court. What about Sione he's the same weight as Sam and has better footwork .Not sure about his defence.Yep that right backrow spot is the conundrum to use one of my favourite words lol

Just noticed in today's 'celebrity' clip on the club website in one passage, it looks like the 1st team in black singlets with Api passing out to Galvin on the right (Luai was on the left) with Seyfarth running a backrow decoy line off Galvin with Bula sweeping to take the pass.Seyfarth is most likely to start imo.
