Yes.On a wet track, you want us to believe that they got 3 men into flop style tackles, holding our blokes down all night long, yet we managed to have the faster play the ball speed?
We must have been doing it even more then......
Agreed mate . But unless you’re a juggernaut like Payne Hass or AFB , wrestling in the ruck will slow everyone down . It’s really up to the ref to control cynical tactics like that . I mean it’s not exactly secret squirrel stuff . They teach those tactics from a very young age . Getting hold of the levers to get leverage . Once you’re at the bottom of a tackle you can use your bumpers and your hips to push out and reduce that leverage , but it’s really on the ref to get on top of it early .I will have to have a re-watch. At the time I thought it was just a really physically strong Warriors team having their way with us in the wrestle. I will keep an eye on the impact of the 3rd man in. In saying that, there should be some onus on us to be stronger in the contact and the wrestle because teams have identified that controlling the ruck is the key to beating us. It has been a problem for years.
I'm confused by the repeat sets in general and believe they are way too subjective.
Says the guy , who references any stat he can find to justify his terrible position that the tigers have the worst defence in the comp . And references it at any weak point , because he’s so emotionally immature to accept that he’s wrong . There’s never been an apology . Considering all the trouble you caused over it . And still trying to .I find the stats help when conversing with people on here, because this forum contains the greatest collection of "woe is me" football fans in the entire code. The fact that most members on here are over 40 makes me wonder exactly how some of them have managed to live to such an age whilst possessing such a victim mentality.
It makes you wonder what type of lives are being lived when they are so quick to blame everyone else when things dont go their way.
The refs are human. They make mistakes. For instance, Luai should have been sinbinned at a minimum for his tackle last night......but the average Wests Tigers fan thinks they are being targetted in a coordinated act of cheating from the games administrators. It is laughable in its pathetic delusions. Seriously, this happens every year....idiots start whining as soon as the other team gets on top. It is embarrassing.
I think you could be right DS, but I hope you’re wrong coz that would set us back a bit, plus a trip to Newy a week later for another physical going over.I Think a big scoreline is about to hit us.
Hope I am wrong, but think Bronco's are Gunna kick our arses.
Abdo on 360 tonite did it almost immediately...the games great blah blah ptb speed and ball in play zzzzYeah the whole rule is stupid but the NRL like to roll out their ball in play stat discussing the game post the six again introduction and will turn a blind eye to all opposing points.
As for deliberately knocking on to get the penalty it is certainly an option but probably not advised. Reason being that you need to be sure to get the timing correct. If you knock on in the play the ball as you suggest you would not received the penalty. As your error is the play after the infringement. You would need to knock on only when there is an offside infringement, not a ruck infringement, and only when the offside player is deemed to be impacting the play.
Remember when Tamou was statistically the best front rower in the game the season before we signed him? How did that work out?Says the guy , who references any stat he can find to justify his terrible position that the tigers have the worst defence in the comp . You can reference stats all you want .
Baseball , the most stats driven game in the world along with cricket , where nearly every single aspect of the game has a formula and algorithm attached to it , still has huge fluctuations and variations on defensive metrics , because of how unreliable and poor they are at predictive patterns in defense.
Tim Tebow has some amazing stats to back him up as being an amazing qb . Yet the eye test , and football knowledge was quick to say nope to him. And then coaches found stats that justified that position to validate that argument to counter act the fan theory , that he was a great quarterback .
Stats are only as good as the data that’s being put into it, and how non corrupted / unbiased that data is .
For example ruck speed ; it’s taken over a period of 80 mins to give an average of each teams ruck speed .
Doesn’t account for things like a player being sent off , or poor refereeing , or environmental conditions , which may or may not have fluctuated in a game . It’s only as good as the data provided . And the raw data is inconclusive at best . And once again that stat can only really be used as a guide. Same for your stupid stat about missed tackles .its The same data point coming out trouble where a Ponga might beat the first man every time, 15 times a game , as it is if Bradman Best falls off a tackle 6 times to give up 6 tries. It will still say one team had 15 missed tackles the other 6.
Even try assists . It’s simply the last guy who passed the ball . But really Luai should have 4 or 5 try assists this year because he did all the assisting. Once again a stat that means little . Or it can mean a lot , say if your a Hastings type who touches the ball 100 times a game , and only has 3 try assists for the year . You need other stats to validate or invalidate that stat .
Anybody clinging to stats as some kind of “see this is why I’m right” , either is just trying to “gotcha” people or has zero idea .
My bet is you’re 2 for 2 .
See another stat ….
Tolman as well . Was statistically the best front rower in the game back then LOL .Remember when Tamou was statistically the best front rower in the game the season before we signed him? How did that work out?
No, what wears thin, is reading week after week, year after year that this club is where it is as the NRL hate us and cheat us.Your argument has acknowledged that it happened.
Come on mate, you think your ‘referee doesn’t ever deliberately or selectively intervene to [This word has been automatically removed] us’ wears thin…
They need to work with May on lowering his shoulders as he approaches the try line. Api is going to give him great opportunities and he can’t afford to butcher them. The good sides score there. What a load of bullshit . It’s not a victim complex to say the ref was shit on Sunday , and made it hard . We should have won that game . May should have scored that , and Toa ran an u13s line to give the inside man an easy out for his lazy defence . We didn’t take advantage of the opportunities presented to us .
None of that has anything to do with the poor officiating and double standards . I’ve been just as critical in games when we do get the run of the green . It shouldn’t happen period .
💯 he should have scored that . The games would have been over .They need to work with May on lowering his shoulders as he approaches the try line. Api is going to give him great opportunities and he can’t afford to butcher them. The good sides score there.
They are destroying the game. The milking will be out of control this week now Annesley has directed all contact to the head immediate bin
Yep the next couple look bad.I think you could be right DS, but I hope you’re wrong coz that would set us back a bit, plus a trip to Newy a week later for another physical going over.
