Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

It is a balancing act, Cobbo imo would be a good for WTs at left centre. Doueihi has copped critiscism for his performance against the Panthers. Cobbo is a danger to opposition defences with his combination of pace and power. Fifita in the past has been a fine player but his form is erratic. Many have May slotted at left centre but he has played minimal games at centre (8). I believe he will be competing with Skelton and Staines for left wing if he can play consistently well.
Broncos have just tabled a 2 year extension for Karapani so even less salary cap space for Cobbo now & a player in his position extended adds ???

The plug that Matt Johns gave Galvin before the Bulldogs Monday game made me sick. Gould is definitely on a mission to make him the glamour boy of the NRL.
Before the game? It was on repeat the whole weekend. Idk what the motivation was, but people can’t stand when a player is shoved down their throats by the commentators. A classic example is Trell. Cleary is another if you listen to how much lathering Ennis does of him. It’s one of the fastest ways to get the public to turn on a player. And if they continue to go down the same road with Galvin, he’ll be one of the most disliked players in the game by the end of the season. I’d almost feel sorry for him if he wasn’t such a POS. That game the other day was beyond belief. Voss claimed with a straight face that the roars of the crowd when he scored were them roaring for HIM. Not that his try was the match sealer. They were cheering for him. I’ve been watching the game for over 30 years and have never heard a commentator make a claim like that.

We have Tyrone saying he wants to return to play with his brothers.

We have Willie Peters- Richo links

We have a halfback returning to the club next season that could be looking to move on.

Player swap? Tyrone May for Bud Sullivan?
Bud was home sick moving from Wollongong to Sydney. 🤣

How many hours of footage did they trawl through to find some bog standard players for Matty to analyse? Playing it at halftime in the Tigers game was irritating. The whole thing was bizarre. Anyway, not our problem anymore.

Fox and nine have thrown Galvin’s name in the ring for the next immortal. It’s sickening the way they are hyping this guy up especially after the way he orchestrated his release from us. Also what’s the young no6 at the Raiders got to do to get these bone head so called experts, to give him the same hype
I know right, what's even worse is they speak Galvin up better than Katoa. Galvin isn't even in the same universe as Katoa that kid is amazingly good. Katoa has all the skills and the football I.q of a guy watching everyone play league while he's on the field playing 4d chess. He's amazing, yet if you listen to the commentators it's all about Galvin. Wonder how many of the talking heads are managed by Moses and if he's got them talking him up.

Always found the commentary around Galvin to be hyperbole, its almost like they arent seeing what we all see like the crabbing, non effective kicking, the missed tackles, dropped balls over the line....
Katoa is a universe ahead, that kid has Fittler vibes.
