Just watch the presser and “The Apprentice” coach even made comment that Douehi took pressure off Latu enabling him to play a good game.Sorry Jolls
It might be just us older blokes but I’m with Hal on this one.
Thought Douie ran the show today, and would make a handy 14 in our side if we could find a centre for next year.
Looks like they heard ya, they're working on it 👍that was a big win today to avoid the spoon … not a done deal yet though..
Hope Manly put 50 on Souffs
I think he has earned the right for a decent contract. Can cover a few positions with some quality.Indeed the only thing for suitors of AD to consider is that he doesn’t produce these type of performances very often. We were blessed today. The last time he played this well was his return game after injury last season.
Even though Doueihi’s kicks were mostly down their throats, they were high and more often than not, the kick defuser was put down between 10 and 15 meters out. They made their good yardage on tackles 2 and 3. Not perfect, but better than what we’ve seen from others this year. He also ran for near 100, defended well and his goal kicking was 100%.Hal,
Sorry mate but I saw if a little different. He kicked down the throat of Tedesco and Tupou time and time again, he kicked too deep so there was no pressure, and he kicked short instead of long just before half time. The kick returns hardly ever started from the corner to allow us to apply pressure with our defence.
Shoudl we even raise the two opportunites he had to seal the game and he couldn't get into position - not totally his fault as clearly most didn't know WTF was going on.
Apart from that his kicking was OK. He did some good things with the ball in hand and tried really hard.
Sorry to say, but it will be great to see him at another club in 26.

I agree.Give credit when its due
Douehi was clearly our best last week and was one of our best 2 or 3 this week
We've got the Titans again R27, so possibly another...Playing Warriors in NZ next week will be tough but can see 2 wins after that
Titans at Leichardt Oval
Panthers at Comm Bank
They probably would if Garret could kick a bloody goal!that was a big win today to avoid the spoon … not a done deal yet though..

I'll go back and look at it - but for mine there were too many with no pressure on the receiver - they didn't have to move or they were not under pressure. Had they been 5 m shorter then we could have contested. It is no use kicking the ball 50m if they can can catch the ball with no pressure and run 10m into contact.Even though Doueihi’s kicks were mostly down their throats, they were high and more often than not, the kick defuser was put down between 10 and 15 meters out. We are no good at contesting. That is something that has to be worked on next pre season.I'll go back and look at it - but for mine there were too many with no pressure on the receiver - they didn't have to move or they were not under pressure. Luai isn't a great kicker either so it is something we need to work on.
It would be interesting to see some actual data but my feeling was that the Roosters were starting their sets deeper in their half than any team I can remember this year. Forwards can take most of the credit but I thought the depth of Doueihi's kicks along with a good chase played their part as well.I'll go back and look at it - but for mine there were too many with no pressure on the receiver - they didn't have to move or they were not under pressure. Curious why you think the Panthers would be more likely than the Warriors?Playing Warriors in NZ next week will be tough but can see 2 wins after that

💯 agree on the proper home ground and you only need to look at our home ground records this season 7 wins and 16 losses over three grades against 13 wins and 11 losses away from home.I’d almost forgotten we play at Leichhardt, when you look at Brooky full every game you realise how much you miss a proper home ground.
We’re just like nomads.
I’ll tell you what, if we do happen to beat the Warriors you better get to LO early the following week, Titans or not.
Nothing better than a kill on your own turf!
They appears to be starting them deeper but I think that came the most part from us holding them to around the half way when they kicked and our kick return was better. I raised it earlier with Tucker - I don't see the benefit of kicking 50m to a player that does not have to move to the ball and then tackling with a good defensive line after they have run 10m. Much better to have our players and the ball arrive at 40m at the same time. We shoudl also be aiming - for the most part - for this to occur in a corner. It would be interesting to see some actual data but my feeling was that the Roosters were starting their sets deeper in their half than any team I can remember this year. Fair enough. I guess we are just used to kicking that is neither high nor long. It was refreshing to me to see at least one of those boxes being tickedThey appears to be starting them deeper but I think that came the most part from us holding them to around the half way when they kicked and our kick return was better. Even for older guys the mantra was kick to the seagulls - didn't see enough of that!
