The intent in D was excellent. Hitting hard and then driving them back was great to see. The only problem we had today was defending off our line when we stop or back peddle instead of pushing up and taking the space. In the wet conditions doing this is even worse and will lead to tries every time.
Our A was generally pedestrian today but under the conditions we needed to control the ball. Field position and possession are much more important in the wet. Well placed grubbers and changing point of attack are the ticket with slippery conditions.
The boys looked really tight and spirited and were great to watch. Honestly if they play with that desire and effort for the rest of the season I would be ecstatic.

Man I thought our forwards were massive this game. For the forst time in a long time they laid that platform in the first half and the boys used it well.

Douhei was excellent loved his effort and attitude.
Twal was super human

Some surprises for mine. Naden great, good to see hunt back, bulla is something else, skelton great, sione was amazing first 20 mins and I'll cop it for this but seyfarth was really good until his high shot.

The real impressive thing for me was we didn't crack when it went against us.

And not poles best game needed alottle more care but was better in defense

I think Benji deserves a lot of credit too. Made the right calls well done

I have been a critic of AD, but today he had a great game and his performances over the last few weeks have been OK. He has, for the first time in a long time, shown he is willing to compete. If he can keep it up I may change my mind on his prospects. My big concern though is what happens to his desire to compete once a contract is signed? Do we go back to the old AD, or do we keep the current one?

Yes Jolls, 100% with you on AD. Loved his game today but honestly can’t remember him playing with that effort for 80 mins very often at all. Maybe responsibility is good for him.
