Jaxen Edgar rated a better prospect at fullback by the Panthers and was selected ahead of Attard for all this season’s Jersey Flegg finals games.

Yeah thats why im asking the question aye. Thanks for that. I haven't got a response to my question about how much he has seen of Attard. Appears this might be someone getting excited about a highlights reel and putting a skinny kid who Penrith let go ahead of Bula

Guessing that may be when we signed him? Just because Penrith didn't retain Attard , is no reason to think they got the better player . Value for money , they probably did ?

Yeah i agree. Thats sort of the point im making. One poster is claiming we shouldn't keep Bula because of Attard, but that seems off when you consider the evidence.

Not bagging young Attard. I haven't seen the kid play, and I hope he ends up a superstar. But even he would say to keep Bula

That's a weird one. Signed with Manly for 27 isn't he? I thought Manly were trying to get him for 26 but Rabbitohs were saying no.

If we're fair dinkum about ever winning a comp. we can't do that with Bula at the back. Look at the teams that played in the grand final this year, fullbacks who are always posing a constant threat. Bula just can't do that, that's not his style.
If we pay Bula his reported salary we have another Brooks situation where he can't be dropped.

A bit like Michael Lichaa but Lichaa had a massive rating as a junior and if Edgar has as good a career as Lichaa did then that's saying something

Do you think he was hit by a stray? Or do you think HBG knew Richo would quit, but were naive to the wider implications it would have with fans and NRL management?

My problem is that posters build these kids up so much .....when very few if any have seen him play a single 80 minute game
Some have us not resigning Bula at all because of Attard and others saying he was a back up fullback at Penrith
It does my head in ......suddenly they are coming to the WTs and are going to improve 3000% on previous seasons
Then because they don't reach these ridiculous levels placed on them by people who've never seen their strengths and weaknesses for 80 minutes they become hopeless plodders who we shouldn't have signed .....got that off my chest .....move on everybody .....nothing to see here

I never get excited about juniors until they show something in 1st grade, you're just setting yourself up for disappointment, just too many fail.

Saying that think Makasini could be a gooden be interesting to see if he comes back a bigger athlete.
