He’s made a statement to the group that you can’t expect to stay in the side with performances like that. Go back to Cup and earn your spot again.

This sets standards and drives players to perform.

Melbourne will win by a cricket score because we simply do not have the depth to cover injuries to Bula, Doueihi, Koroisau and Fainu.

However, that doesn't excuse the selection of Mason who has played no more than 2 or 3 good games at fullback in his entire senior career. Laulilii or Herbert would be better options. Mason is not up to standard.

If it’s true that Mason has been killing it in reserve grade, maybe it’s reward for effort. If you are doing all the right things, and still not getting a look in when there’s injuries, where does that leave you?

One kid I have been waiting to see for a while now makes his debut against us this weekend Hugo Peel kids going to be a Superstar Fullback in 18 months if not sooner he scored 4 try's the other week in the QLD Cup I love it when kids debut hopefully he has a good debut not a great one and remembers the lost always

He made his debut last week when they were punished by the Phins. He was definitely not out of place at NRL level but he was playing in a team that was poor across the park.

If he had a specialist position, I’d say it’s as a running 5/8. He could shock us, you never know 🤷🏻‍♂️
