He might not be in the plans for the future … but he could still play a role ( even as depth) in the Tigers hopes of playing semi finals over the rest of this season …. What happens if they got rid of him and there was an injury to Turuva next week …you want to go back to Tavana the rest of the season? All for saving a $100k on the cap ..like I said just not worth it and would be a poor move from Benji and Shaun

Good depth piece for rest of season, who knows what falls out of the sky between now and next year. We’d be stupid to give him up now. I’m also a bit worried about our backs depth next season losing Luke and Skelton, next man up ig

Why would we be trying to help them …. Maybe they could give us a player then…some type of swap deal… just like they insisted with Zac Lomax

perhaps benji says if you want skelton early you need to take toa from 27 also and tigers chip some cash in for toa.

No i said parramatta are agitating for June 30 release and the Tigers are considering it.
He will be off to Parramatta from 2027, parramatta are wanting him June 30

You heard anything about Spencer Leniu. Someone on the forum last week said he was keen to come accross. Sorry cant remember who the member was.

Possibly. He can play hooker i think as well as lock. Though hed be only a depth signing. Maybe to cover Api till were happy with the young guy coming through.

Why the hate on Skelton?

So we have:
Makasini
Tavana
Starford Toa

Who have really let us down on defense.
Skelton, yea his game has faults. Still defends better then all of them.

Now Makasini and Tavana will improve. Toa wont. William Craig and Saukuru are untested, but not liking our chances.


Seriously that May, Herbert and Turuva as our center/wing pairings... Maybe AD in that mix who has too let us down in defense.


We punted Jack Bird, and if we punt Skelton. Do we realise how thin our backs will be?
I do not want depth and I am happy to upgrade Skelton. That said I want a first grade worthy backline and the best move.

I do like how Benji is keeping backs as backs, halves as halves and forwards as forwards. I really dislike how he has thrown Makasini and Tavana into the deep end. Far better if they came off the bench and it was a NRL experienced backline.
