Thankfully your man Averillo is coming šŸ‘
Everyone join in; ( with apologies to Tony Christie)
ā€œ Show me the way to Averillo, every night I’ve been crying in my pillow ā€œ
or words to that effect.
If that’s true …They must be as weak as pis…half the team have been happy to extend here in the meantime without him
i think we know they’re as weak as piss. And all this bro talk gives me the shits, weve got too much brawn and not enough brains !

I love Api, but how is his re-signing looking now? Especially coming back from a torn pec. The backend of that contract was always going to be rough.

Well I gave suppoted benji since he become coach/ manager, but after the last couple of games , he has been shown up as a very poor coach, yes he has had his best players out injured but he can’t bring the side together, again we will be the laughing stock , our over all of having back up backrowers and centre backs, with pace has killed us yet benji just talks dribble when interviewed

And meanwhile the Sharks get the job done again. They might not be premiership contenders, but they are always thereabouts. They are the NRL’s version of Everton. Meanwhile, idk who we are. Burnley maybe?
Not having seen the table so guessing bottom of the table losers that fade at the important end of the season, it's a recurring parallel nightmare happening again.

I suppose it’s better late than never, but there’s never been an indication that he’s anything but a very poor coach.

I have no issues with us re-signing him. Injuries can happen to anyone. We just haven't planned his replacement too well. I suspect there was more the story when we let TDS go.

They still haven’t signed a back up for next year to replace Hope ..she’ll be right mate

We're more of a Scunthorpe United.

I wish australian rugby league had promotion and relegation. I would love to see us dominate the 4th tier against the Corrimal Cougars and the like.

Went to the game tonight - I haven’t watched any of the replay (don’t hate myself that much), but at the ground it was even more obvious than usual that the team has no structure, and no attack plan. The mistakes that we are making are often the result of desperation moves because we are on the 5th with nothing in place as an attacking play. It is just ugly and we may as well not have possession given the inability to use it to build pressure. Under the modern rules that is madness

Agreed.
Too many players we field are simply not first grade standard. Skill-wise, experience, nous - lots of our players just don’t possess it.

Unfortunately, and I hope Benji is realizing this, a coach can create culture and systems, he can even improve skills, but he can’t magic brains into the players or change innate attitude problems.

So, while I’m a staunch Benji fan, what you say can’t be refuted.

There are clear examples of general coaching misses:
- no depth or shape in attack
- ineffective communication in defense

And then there are particular in-game issues where the coach could easily make changes, which are glaringly obvious:
- forwards (mostly May) inevitably taking a soft hit up on the 5th tackle
- no man/team rushing up aggressively in defense (anymore)
- zero idea from the team about 6th tackle options
- keeping players like Makasini, Toa or Seyfarth in games, or repeatedly selecting them when they are clearly costing us with their ineptitude. (And no, I don’t care that Seyfarth tries hard.)
- Persisting with no halfback. It CLEARLY doesn’t work. We’ve tried each of Madden, Douehi and Luai - none of them are the answer. Luai at 6 is what we must keep. This means Douehi has to play somewhere else (lock or centre) and Madden is back-up only. Blood someone else at 7, or play Latu. I don’t care, but come on!
And Bula. Man for chrissakes. He isn’t just average anymore, he is actually useless. I don’t care about his contract or price tag. It was always a gamble and we were kinda damned either way. Let him learn how to break a tackle or chime into the backline whilst in reggies. Blood someone so we aren’t in this same position next year, ie with no depth.

The season is gone. No use persisting with players who shouldn’t be there.

Figure it out Benji. Snap out of this crap. There is only so much patience you can expect from even your most ardent fans.
Do you have time to talk to them...the players or the club?

Your last sentence...do you think he's reading this? Or is it better to send via email?

What do you think?
