The argument for fully embracing the Macarthur as home for the Wests Tigers.

I wasn’t even alive when Balmain or wests were around, so I don’t have the predated bias but the equation is pretty simple, we cannot win at Campbelltown and no one turns up to watch the games there, and like 30% of the crowd there is away fans, there is no metric where it is better than Leichhardt
I’m not interested in getting into pissing contests, I’ll just say what I have always said. The onus is on the players to embrace the ground, the area. Feel the same sense of magic as LO. Not laugh and snicker when one of their teammates says they couldn’t think of a better place to play a milestone game. It’s on them. Not the patch of grass.

The players could try a bit harder there but the core issue still hasn’t been fixed. The ground has a poor atmosphere and low crowd numbers so obviously they wouldn’t like playing there, part of the magic of LO is that the fans turn up and are vocal, I’m sure if Leichhardt got 10k each game and it was quiet as, with lots of away fans the players wouldn’t like it playing there either

they get drip fed , when it is on the team , crowd to gain support and wins ,basically playing out of Leichardt the numbers people are banging on about to drive a division amongst this forum will basically even out or get worse ,if the team doesnt start to improve

Pretty sure they'll get a big crowd at Campbo in the first couple of games then weather, time of day and the myriad of other excuses will cone out and will just fall back down to 10,000 a game.

Anyway good luck to them. Such a shame to see this club destroyed - South West is a myth.
make sure you understand the figures when most home games are coming out of Leichardt .- years away .
Your normally sensible - you seem to have a bug up your back side on this subject .

I hope you apply that logic to our away games. According tp ypu there is no such thing as a home ground advantage.

I think there is and we are giving it away willingly. Flanagan even said on a podcast he fears the Tigers at Leichhardt not a Campbelltown.

I just don’t see the point in complaining about it. It’s one thing to complain about Benji. One day soon he’s going to get tapped on the shoulder. With this, the club aren’t abandoning Ctown. Not saying you have to like it. We all have our preferences. But it’s not changing. Now that the ground is getting upgraded (albeit a modest one), we’re locked in for the next 20-25 years. Is that how long will have to hear/read these fruitless calls to up and leave?

English please Merlot
That old chestnut - stop stuttering - explain the bug up the back side ,What is your lean on this .
Edumacate me - do a deep dive on your emotions about why , because basically emotions are your sword ,and to be honest ,i was left a little confused where you actually stand on this a while back .No pot shot at you , life is confusing on this side of the interweb here at the moment.

It's as simple as the winning percentage and turnout.

Typical Tigers...something is working...sell outs and wins, so let's no do what works and try and do something else. It's so dumb to me.

It ain't me looking for alternative agendas, but others like to read more into it. That's fine. If we're happy with low crowds and under 40% win rate at home...Campbo is the clear stand out.

It's this apathy that will destroy the club.

the game day experience - at best its over priced food , a face paint for the kiddies .
Crowds be buggered ,AI them into the stadium .
Its a winter game ,family of 5 , food drinks , almost cheaper to take the family to Bali for a week .
Peace out wt

It’s much more than just about the ground we play at. It’s about everything else that goes with an area.

And it’s not only about now it’s about the future.

What area is our best chance for success in the future.

It’s an easy answer really.
