You would assume they will appeal the conviction. Haven't followed the case other than what has been reported in the papers, but it seemed like the evidence left considerable doubt as to Musgrove doing something illegal.

@trentrunciman They introduced a Draft in 1991, but it was challenged in court by players who were reluctant to play for clubs against their wishes. The players ended up defeating the NSWRL on appeal, where the court ruled that a Draft was a restraint of trade. It has never been challenged...

Only club we should allow him to move to is the Gold Coast. Why bolster a rival Sydney club who will compete with us for a top-8 spot. Stuff him.

@Tiger_Steve You can get glassed by a drunk bogan without going on holidays. Only place that's going to happen overseas is Bali or Thailand.

My first thought was, why do first grade players earning hundreds of thousands a year go to Bali for holidays? That would have to be on the bottom of the list of places a young, cashed up professional athlete should be traveling to.

@cochise okay gotcha ! As a Catholic i hold these people to a higher standard than i would anyone else, so i absolutely agree with you on the failures of the Church hierarchy. I think all Catholics would agree with that. In terms of Catholic Schools, i don't think there is any greater risk...

@cochise What is it about Catholic Schools that you don't like ? Some of my kids attend Catholic Schools . They are probably a lot less Catholic than they should be .

@cochise Thanks mate. Yeah its a tough one. As a Catholic myself its obviously tragic to say the least what some within the Church have done. But at the same time, we don't worship 'the church' or its priests, so i couldn't see myself moving away from faith because of what some evil people...
