Man I was making the point that we should go in for Cobbo on the signings page, i think this proves it. We are playing a game of roulette with our centres.
Star has been great this year. Totally exceeded expectations but he misses a lot of footy with injuries.
Makasini has never played against...
Weidler getting the year 10 work experience kid to shadow write his stories now? Or is he just behind on his KPI of producing bullshit articles about the Tigers?
I think where we would disagree is to what extent this is happening. Im not sure its as pervasive as you say and the weighting of calls against us is simply due to us being a much worse footy team than the vast majority of the competition over the past few years.
The truth is somewhere in between mate. You cannot deny Tigers have been poorly drilled and disciplined over the years. They have also lacked resilience when things have not gone their way. They simply have to be better.
Maybe the referees are part of some self-fulfilling prophecy caused by our...
It's a balance isn't it.
It isn't ideal having to fill the top 30 with players who in reality should not be there while also turning down the opportunity to sign established first graders in the hope better come along. Maybe capping contracts at 2 years for recruits in squad positions 18-30...
I agree. It's just interesting that Annesley would come out and say it was definitely a penalty and then an identical one be deemed not a penalty 3 days later.
I've said previously I think the perception that we are consistently on the end of dud calls is because a) we are simply less...
There's a clip going around of Cook and Trindall last night which was nearly identical and was not penalised. Was Luai's tackle by the letter of the law a penalty? probably. Should it of been penalised based on precedent? no.
How many hours of footage did they trawl through to find some bog standard players for Matty to analyse? Playing it at halftime in the Tigers game was irritating. The whole thing was bizarre. Anyway, not our problem anymore.
