Been a Richmond supporter since I was a kid, (60 now). I prefer League but nothing's better than watching a big game at the MCG, or the G as the locals call it. Melbourne footy fans just seem more parochial, and maybe a bit more crazy.
Tough assessment, his team went out in straight sets, had their chief attacking weapon drop out the morning of the game, he was heartbroken. He didn't offer any excuses for the loss. It's a long bow to call him arrogant based on that.
I believe with a decent half they would have won last night. They could salvage their season, Burton moves to centre, Galvin to 5/8 and Sexton to half. Not sure if their ego's (Gus and Ciro) could take the hits admitting they got it wrong, but I'm sure they could push a narrative that it was...
