All great players from your era. My era stretches back a little further with blokes like Summons, Lisle etc. I couldn't pick one. On their days they were all brilliant. But I agree re Benji. Love how he played at his best but he’s not in the same category as the blokes you mention.
I couldn’t get over the lack of knowledge of the rules by park cricketers when I umpired. Two examples - fast bowler comes in bowls outside off stump, keeper misses it and batsmen run three byes. Bowler totally loses it and calls me a “cheating c..t” because you can’t get runs if the batsman...
Exactly. I have to say I'm totally underwhelmed by both this appointment and the new NRLW coach. We're told where they've been but not what they've done when they were there. McCarthy's playing career is very average and there's no successes evident in his coaching career. This has the smell...
Agreed. There are some good batsmen coming through. They're not ready yet but will be in good shape for our next tour of England. Not so sure about our fast bowling stocks.
Took someone’s advice on here and turned sound off and listened to SEN coverage. It was OK but the best part is you don’t have to listen to Gould, Johns, Fittler, Slater, Smith and Thurston. That’s gold.
Wow, that's amazing. I've been keeping an eye on this young bloke. I think he can still play Poidevin Gray Shield (u21). He might bring Wests back to their glory days when they had blokes like Simpson and Davidson playing and regularly won premierships.
It's downright stupid and the bloke does not have anywhere near enough runs on the board to be calling out the Broncos. I want Melbourne to win but I hope Haas or somebody leaves their stud marks all over Stefano as they run over the top of him.
The two best football sides I've seen are the Parramatta side of the early to mid 80s and this Penrith side. They are everything you'd want in a footy side - tough, smart, well-disciplined and well-coached. I wonder what Ivan would have done with us had he stayed.
