It's interesting that Ennis is 'glad to work with Flanno'.
While James Maloney said he "learned nothing" from him.
While Ennis was done over by the dogs, expect St George to go grubby in future games.
If were talking outside backs.
Mark Nawaqanitawase
is asking for over 500k and the roosters have said No.
Would this fit your idea of a "quality back"?
1. Siebold is a crap coach. He may know some tricks, but won't improve Ontorni Large.
2. DCE should be told "mentor Large", doubt he has because Siebold is a crap coach and Penn wants to fight to control club.
Glad Large is at Manly to be 'the next best thing'. I have no doubt Bennett, Bellamy...
Look:
Depth only matters once we get first graders starting.
2025 we fired 4 forwards and Benji runs a bench of 2 centers sometimes. Ofcourse loosing a forward like Pole then matters.
Previously depth has meant players like Naden, like Kevie Naquama... A bunch of Fringe grade centers. Just...
Craig Fitzgibbon wressles with his side and will tackle anyone at Cronulla... Any time!
Yes Benji seems too soft/too relaxed. Him being able to talk the talk and walk the walk though isn't the problem.
Totally different.
Terrell deserves more coin. He easily can command 800k and we should pay it.
Bula? yea/nah... think about it.
Just commenting on the backs. There is a lot of value to keeping them the same. I really think this has been our problem in the past. Always chopping and changing...
Look, some players I would take at the right price....
Adam Elliot is done, but Jack Hetherington under 200k... Sure. (not happening, but sure).
That said, we picked up Olam, who was a gun but done. Picking a lemon at any price is dumb.
So where does that leave the big guy from Melbourne...
Look, I don't think we should sign NAS. But he is a gritty grubby player.
He is playing for a gritty grubby team. Melbourne have been coaching the chicken wing in for ages and he is just doing what his coach is telling him to do.
Only unlike Cam Smith, he is getting caught.
I hate thinking that so much of our success was flukey.
Terrell May has been damn outstanding. Yet we lost 4 forwards, maybe Batemans attitude was the factor... maybe it was the coaching. But we lost 4 forwards... So our coach puts a bench of Centers??
Had May not played what has often been...
I get where you are coming from...
Then how do we use Hunt?
Ofcourse we could punt him, but he seems to be a very low minute beast.
So:
Put Hunt + NAS, you could have one start one on the bench and rotate.
OR
have our usual Pole/May/etc... wait till people get tired, then Hunt + NAS at this...
no it wasn't.
ok:
who is quick off the mark -- yes
on the bench that can give Api a rest -- did not really do that. Ok maybe Benji's fault.
and scoot from dummy half against fatigued players -- Oh yea, he succeded there.
, a younger version of Liddle or Cook -- Nope. Definately not Cook...
True, but I think it's more then the spine. It's left/right movement which we have lately gotten right. Passing the ball wide and seeing where the scoring opportunities are.
I honestly think the gell between Centers/Wing is more important then the gell with the spine. Particularly on defense...
Ill go in for Turuva.
Look speed matters for wingers, What matters more is that they can apply pace when they need too. GI was rather sneeky as he acted just a little slower then he was. The defenders misread him and he pushes to the line...
I do wonder, if moving Turuva to the centers while...
Yea, but flip it...
He is playing 80 minutes with us. I vastly prefer Api as an 80 minute player slowing to 60 then a 40 minute player ramping up. I don't know if Bird, Hope or Mason will be taking up the slack...
Lets hope Benji changes his bench rotation. He is burning our forward bench...
