I agree that he hasn't really turned it on this year yet. Really hope he gels better with Latu. From what I have seen of him, Latu seems like much more of a smooth operator than Galvin, which I reckon will work better with Luai's frenetic style.
Galvin clearly grew up as a huge Eels fan, and still has a lot of love for the club. See the photo of him in a Parra jersey as a kid constantly popping up. I reckon the writing has always been on the wall that he would end up there.
If Galvin isn't staying I would rather get a player swap going for next season, surely there is a side that needs a half but has a good quality second rower they can send out way. Better to have Latu playing so we can build for the future, rather than developing a player who is raw but has...
Agreed. Galvin's biggest strength is his running and energy, which is something he can contribute from 13. In the modern game locks are arguable part of the spine, who's to say we don't innovate and push that to the next level
I hope that clunky first half hour was just a result of the heat. Was truly hard to watch, particularly Luai running around looking like a headless chicken. But last 10 minutes was great. Will be thrilled if we can keep that up
Positive signs, but that completion rate needs to come up. I reckon a few less dropped balls and that would have been a much better half. Thought Twal was very impressive
Some people on this forum need some time away from here honestly. I like to check in here every few days to catch up on any news, but instead I have to wade through pages and pages of the same half a dozen people talking absolute rubbish that has nothing to do with rugby league whatsoever. If...
I think a Bula, Fainu, Luai, Api spine with Galvin in the second row or lock is our best option in the long run, it's just a shame that Galvin would probably sign elsewhere if he heard wind of that happening. Obviously I don't know if that's the case for sure, but for a player who seems so keen...
Kit looking good again, I'd like to see him get game time this year. I find it interesting that people wrote him off after his one first grade game a couple years back, because I actually think he had a good stab at it on debut
