    STREAMING FINDS and RECOMENDATIONS

A show I co-wrote and developed for TV, is currently on ABC Iview called 'House of Gods'. It's a little different but pretty special.

Was commiserating with my son over the Maggies. last season was my antidote to being a long suffering Wests Tigers supporter: winning, coming 4th! This season feels a bit more familiar. But, still in the Top 8 (I think!)

Botman back on bench - yay! Schar and Joelinton injured...hmmm. What a season for Newcastle.

Yeah with their injuries I wasn't at all confident about this one. Chelsea had 230m on the bench and Newcastle 15m. Anthony Gordon has been the Toon's best this year, and a great game from Almiuron too.

    Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

We have a very, very young team. Olam provides experience. I read somewhere he is a good solid person too, and is huge in the PNG community. He has played in many very big games and can give a calmness and strength to our very young backline. He's a big body that will benefit from good ball from...

    Barclays EPL Fantasy 2023-2024

I'm too scared to look. Had some terrible injuries and rookie team selections. Thinking of pressing wildcard and trying again!

LIVE GAME (NRLW) Round 9 vs. Knights

I thought they played with a lot of passion. Didn't feel embarrassed as a Wests Tigers Fan at all. First live game of WNRL and loved it.

Great news for him. What a manager. To get Mariners to where he has gotten them with the resources at hand. Amazing.

    Referendum 2023

Thanks BP. If nothing else this referendum has been an opportunity for people to talk about these issues and engage with others whose views are genuine but sometimes coming from a different place. The idea of identity in Indigenous communities, is, as you say, not an easy one. For starters there...

    Referendum 2023

I suppose it's because future governments can abolish a legislated voice - as the Howard Govt did with ATSIC in 2005. And if it won a referendum then it would demonstrate that a majority of voters are in favour of it. The status quo of non-Aboriginal experts making policy is something the...

    Referendum 2023

I I suppose the difference is the Voice, as proposed, won't administer policies like ATSIC did. Just offer advice. Agree, people I know with experience of ATSIC talk about the issues it had with corruption. Like any body that gives out taxpayer money - like Wollongong and Canterbury Councils...

    Referendum 2023

Thanks Chad. I'm always grateful we live in a country where people are free to disagree. As I posted earlier I'll be voting 'yes', but I'll agree the Yes campaign hasn't done a good job explaining itself. I suppose what's hard about giving the details of what the voice will say is we don't know...

    Referendum 2023

G Great question Tiger-ferret. There's an article here that goes into some detail. The first body was set up by Whitlam and later strengthened by Fraser. After Hawke changed policy it became the most famous version ATSIC, which was abolished by John Howard in 2005. But the article lays out the...
