You’re right, this does happen in many clubs. Manly has been fairly successful in the last 20 years and can afford to implement that strategy. We however have a really small sample of success which suggests we should pick another strategy.

If the truth is option 1, then keep the assistants and punt Benji. As you say, the assistants are ignored with this option meaning Benji would be the sole problem. Let’s hope it’s the second option and we can get decent assistants that can address the changes required and implement them...

This whole argument on value continues to boil down to potential and what you pay for it.
