He doesn't owe you gratitude. You paid him money for his house. Sold a tangible asset for the market price. You give him money, he gives you a house.
Now, using the scenario I posted . . . the deadbeat brother is giving the good brother sweet f all in return for the expenditure Mr nice guy made...
More that Wests, Ashfield, HBG or whoever it was . . were not "biased against all things Balmain"
They tipped in a lot of cash to pay Balmain's debts, etc. Hardly biased against Balmain.
Interesting thought on people being grateful . . . . I guess that if someone has paid your debts...
" a bias against all things Balmain " ?????!!!!! Really ?
Let me paraphrase The Judean People's Front- Monty Python skit that describes this oh so beautifully.
"So apart from Roads, sanitation, irrigation, medicine and the aquaduct, what have the bloody Romans ever done for us ?"
So, are you saying that there are no 60+ Balmain supporters here ? That the forum's older members are all Western Suburbs folks ? You're kidding, right ?
You speak of refusal to accept and bias . . . surely you see the refusal to accept, and the painful bias of the Balmain side in all of this...
They don't like the words to that song mate. Especially the first paragraph. They're putting their fingers in their ears and going " La la la la la "
A truth well spoken.
Well, you're more autonomous than I would have originally thought. Close enough to know what's going on, but not quite in the echelon of those doing the damage.
On the debenture holders . . . I recently ran into a bloke who's dad is/was a debenture holder. When I questioned the need for such a...
The silence is deafening, cdinoz . . . you obviously are close to the workings at HBG.
I would like to think your researched and detailed efforts would be appreciated by all here.
But you sing an unpopular song, my friend.
And I'm pretty sure it's a Macca's again. The building went through a few tenants . . but I drove past it the other day, and unless I was in some sort of time warp, it's a macca's again.
I misread your opening line as " Hunty and Bunty". While I think I just uncovered a new nickname for the pair, thank God there isn't a third one. ;)
But I do like Hunty and Bunty.
Yes, we should improve. Better roster, a combinations forming, etc.
And it's likely we do improve.
But isn't that what we say every single January ?
Oh, and yes I know that this time feels different. It does every year.
In the end, I'm sure that all of us that suffer following this club of ours...
Genuine question . . . How would you know what affect "HBG-gate" has on any group of poor performances ? Especially considering we have had decades of such " poor performances ".
How do you tell that this year's poor performances are caused by this or that in particular ?
