Agree with previous posters that 2 years extension is probably best. Gives time for proper assessment of Bula at a level where he now has a reasonable level of experience and whether the $$$ is worth it. If he wants more and more $$$, we have Attard in the ranks gaining experience and hopefully...
I'm getting more and more apathetic with NRL. Strong get stronger, weaker get abused and used, and so called standards and rules are so pliable it's a farce.
People were right. Vlandys and NRL go to water and backtrack from the absolute 10 year bans on players signing on to R360. Lomax was caught dead to rights with his signing that intent contract with R360 that was brought to light in the discovery documents for the court case.
NRL and Vlandys...
I like the idea but I'm concerned over 2 of the 6 not getting game time in either NRL / State Cup on that weekend when named. Unless maybe 3 of the 6 can play State Cup on understanding they'll also be on bench for NRL. What happens if injured? Can additional players join bench at last minute? I...

Seeing as Lomax had already signed with R360 BEFORE getting a release and the contract was conditional on him getting a release- seeing as he got the...
Hasnt Bird been officially released by WT? I thought that was the news late last week, or do we still await something official on our lamentable club website?
Magnificent. And we extended his contract last year. If true was a medical check done? As you say we have Makasini waiting in the wings for an opportunity either from poor form / injury to Toa.
As to the thread topic glad for both WT and Bird to get best out of this. Nothing against Bird but...
I didn't like the comment / reasoning of Daley 'I rung around and spoke to a few people'. No WT people were spoken to, assume it was Roosters people where he left in mysterious circumstances.
I'd say Kit- i think there was better prospects of him becoming a good forward although small. Whereas Luke had been tried somewhat in the backs and found a bit too small but still gave 100%.
Question marks over which Toa and Bula will take the field- i hope they fire and stay firing. Also our halves need to organise and provide spark. All doable but the mental toughness has not been our strong point for a long time. Go WT.
Good luck to him. Glad he can try elsewhere but I think just too short for a long career. A good big man will always beat a good small man, but having said that you never know with fresh fields. I suspect his brother will also go in due course.
