I guess it shows that Luai is more of a mercernary player than some at the Tigers. I'm really happy of the players that have re-signed with the Tigers and if they get Sam and Latu? I will be over the moon. All the re-signed players have bought into Benji's vision.
I would assume he would have run it by Benji.
I thought I read that Richo and Luai were working on removing the get out clauses on his contract but that stopped when the crap hit the fan early this year. Benji was called in unhappily to do a press conference and mentioned that he wanted Luai...
I must say I haven't heard much from Sean ? since he assumed the interim role. He started off with a lot of bluster but has gone quite. Not convinced as yet but happy to give it a little more time. He certainly isn't a Richo
I think Luai is a bit like a entrepeneur. He sees an opportunity to make some good coin whilst he can. You can't begrudge players for doing so. If he moves I don't think we will be worse off without him as much as like his passion.
Luai looks pretty content being at the Tigers. He seems to have a lot of faith in Benji and has bought into the direction of the club. So it would have to be something bad for him to move imo, like Benji being punted.
