The security threat is real in PNG. I've been confronted by rascals; it is unpleasant and dangerous. The Black Cat track incident is an example of what can go wrong, but also of the overwhelming kindness of the PNG people.
Marshall communicates well with the media which is a huge positive for WTs. The manner in which WTs dealt with this difficult issue has been admirable. Players throughout the NRL will imo warm to Marshall and his capacity to communicate positively with them.
I understand your frustration. I think him moving on at 31 for the salary he would potentially earn is a good outcome for WTs. We may see a few player re-signings from this decision.
I'd be surprised if the club hasn't known about this for some time. Deals of this magnitude and the reception he received aren't put together overnight. I also believe the NRL wanted this to happen to give the Chiefs credibility.
I remember watching Papenhuyzen in the Balmain SG Ball team. Interesting how his career now appears to be over. His teammates, Doueihi and Seyfarth, are performing well and Doueihi played 7 in that team. Suli from the Dragons also has his moment but hasn't realised his full potential.
Great news about Haywood. There was a lot of discussion about Da Silva when released to the Eels. It seems whoever made the decision to release him got it right. Also, I am enjoying the performances of Brookes and his potential to be a WTs NRL player.
Luai's wife should have been given the tour. Let's face it, it is his wife and family who have to be happy with the lifestyle. Downtown Boroko is a bit different to your Westfields shopping plaza.
