Newsflash : the salary cap is not an issue

I don't think the state cup players would agree with you somehow. They would choose to play NRL every.single.day.of.the.week.

Mick Potter has officially lost the plot

Why not Thompson to center? Another forward on the bench, Ayshford out. There's no reason to play him this week. Potter needed to have the balls to chop him for not trying even if it would have upset Robbie and Liam.

That doesn't make any sense. The season is done. Why even play a potential gun like Siro in dud games with nothing at stake if he is carrying an injury? Either he is okay and he starts or he is injured and gets fit for 2014.

I don't want Wests Tigers job says Henry

Re payment, Cowboys will STILL be paying him in 2014 as he has a contract. Will likely be cheap and available. Doubt Potter would pick him as an assistant though. Would place a tonne of pressure on him having a deputy capable of taking the club over at a moments notice.

Newsflash : the salary cap is not an issue

Why??? Meaney has played enough to go back there and every bloke in that team would LOVE to play a TV game v the roosters and wear the jersey. Some blokes bust their guts for years down there just in the hope of getting a game or two. Leave the 20s alone for the year, yes. But the state cup...

Robbo, that doesn't even make sense mate? A bloke like Meaney gets basically nothing for state cup. Let the bloke come up and get some match payments / get some TV time / get some reward for years of effort. Let Ayshford go down and play in front of 50 people.

Mick Potter has officially lost the plot

Sorry LaT,but it is frustrating with people saying "it's the cap". It's not. Potter had options this week. Picking Ayshford was a digrace.

Newsflash : the salary cap is not an issue

Exactly mate. He shows pride every single time he pulls on the jersey. There's no excuse for him not being there. I can't believe how many apologists are going on about the cap. Meaney IN, Ayshford OUT = No effect on the cap. None. Potter has lost me. 100% lost. All he has to do was have some...

Mick Potter has officially lost the plot

We could have fielded this team: 1\. Teddy 2\. Meany 3\. Nofa 4\. Simona 5\. Lote 6\. Sirro 7\. Benji I am sick of Benji also, but whatever…..................he has been here 11 years, let him go out in firsts. **Anasta has done NOTHING for this club to deserve being picked each week**...

Newsflash : the salary cap is not an issue

Exactly. Meaney isn't a star, but at least the jersey would have meant a lot to him and he would have put his body on the line. Absolutely NO excuse for Ayshford getting picked again. None.

**NOT TRUE** Meany is eligible. Ayshford could have been sacked. Get your facts straight. Potter just doesn't want to upset the guys who are mates with Ayshford. Weak.

Newsflash : the salary cap is not an issue

Ayshford HAD to be dropped this week. Two mins to go, game on the line, and he casually chucked out one hand and barely bothered to even look like he was trying as Ben Roberts went past him. This, on top of absolutely pea hearted performances week after week for ages now. **Meaney IS eligible...

    Mayer on MMM

Good interviiew, but he does say 'two great assistant coaches in Royce and Georgie informed us they were moving on' or words to that effect. That is a very, very, strong 'spin' on hownto say two blokes were sacked.

Can anyone show evidence Potter can coach?

The striking thing is that, aside from a few sarcastic jibes, no one can say anything positive about Potter. Yes, the young players have shown flashes. But there is some enormous talent amongst them and you would expect them to do okay in spurts under any coach. Simona has shown flashes, but...

Can anyone show evidence Potter can coach?

Sound familiar? \ \ **A trophyless year for the first time since 2003 was another catalyst to Potter's critics abusing and slating his appointment, with even rumours of rifts within the changing rooms. 2010 was the year that saw Potter surrender to his critics and leave St Helens...
