    Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Our forwards are pretty complete in many ways. Just need elite athletes, power runners or 'hard men'. We don't have room to get all of those things. I still think that Zyon Maiu'u is worth a look- he's that hard running type, but also an elite athlete. Is he a risk? Yes. Probably why I...

    Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

For the people calling for a barnstorming prop to be added, I think (if the rumours of his availability were right) that the guy we want to add might just be...

    OFFICIAL Royce Hunt #298

I thought Royce was pretty good last week. We can't have 1 run for 8m & 3 tackles types of games from him. If he gets genuine gametime, and genuine touches of the ball, Royce is fine.

    Magical 9 Wins

Don't think it's possible to replicate that team, the circumstances. But I think the blueprint can, and has, been copied to a degree. Reliance on bringing young players through, one solid spending spree to bring in the right mix of quality to guide the young players, a few little touch ups to...

    Your team vs Cowboys

El Zakhem isn't a kid, that was my thinking. We want to continue the run, bringing in experienced heads just helps with decisions. Taateo probably earns the spot though. Both have put out decent numbers in the last few weeks, and Taateo has earned a starting role, so his progression works.

I'd probably prefer Zyon Maiu'u from the Bulldogs if looking for a potential guy.

LIVE GAME Rd 24 live chat

Knights have forgotten what made Newcastle a good football town. Hard work, hard hitting, tough town mentality. Their best halves combination, for the last 2 seasons, was Hastings & Gamble. With Sharpe emerging, Gamble can be the #13. Ponga at the back. Not sure what you'd do with Dylan Brown...

    OFFICIAL Taylan "Tiny" May #301

Thought the Tigers had adopted the I-Formation from the NFL. Regardless- great hole running from Taylan. He looks very likely when he touches the ball.

    3-2-1 3 2 1 vs Manly

He's the player most likely to ball play in our forwards. Without a genuine #13 it could fall to him to be that guy. Not as if he didn't produce 200m & 90% tackling as well. A couple of his passes at the line needed good receiving. That pass to Latu was outstanding.

Sloan is a better option on the wing & at fullback than Charlie Staines. But, it's unlikely we will sign him. If the Tigers turn up & beat the Sea Eagles, Seibold may as well start updating his resume. In terms of future recruitment for 2026, I expect we need to see some outs before we see...
