Couldn't they just put him in a lower grade on low dollars because he stuffed them up. Legally.
His ego and pay packet would kill him. HaHa. And stuff up the NRL hierarchy with their stance?
Parra would have been pissed off he wanted an early out for big dollars elsewhere; So, built in clauses to safeguard his backtracking for a NRL return.
Lomax had big $$$ signs in his eyes [no loyalty to any club] so agreed to sign this contract.
He would have known exactly what he was signing...
Godinet didn't stand out to me when flogged by the Eels last week. Some of the Parra forwards did though.
Like you, I'm not sure he is the standout the forum makes him out to be. Need to see some consistent form before salivating we have a WT star.
He seems dedicated to succeeding; but that has...
Bula is here for the next 2 years. [In theory]
Plenty of time for plan B.
Attard is the start of plan B.
Which beggars the question, they suspected he was overpricing his worth and loyalty was not a part of his persona.
Hope he stays but at a fair price, but not overly disappointed if we have 2...
It's a trial. Doubt there won't be much kicking to test the back-up players.
If our open day training display is any indication it will be bash 'n barge for a stamina, endurance test.
If individual performances stand out it will be a bonus! Here's hoping there are some standouts.
I watched a City V Country game at Jubilee oval a few seasons ago. Large at 5/8 and Makasini centre.
Makasini NRL level---------Large SGBall.
Not wise to pay overs for potential and ego building.
Can't always be right, but I think we do a reasonable job overall.
And the few players that come...
Of all the players you mentioned, all had potential; But are still in the lower grades. They have not cracked it for a 1-17 position so far. They may but will have to have more than just potential.
They sought more dollars or a freer passage to the NRL level.
But these other clubs also fill gaps...
Actually, I thought Doueihi was struggling to keep up during the field laps after the contact games. Head down and running last on the open training day.
