I don’t know what the stats show for long range tries after a team has endured 80min of competitive footy, but if you’re the coach you probably would rather have possession regardless of field position?
The decision to attack or defend could be influenced by the strengths and weaknesses of each...
Rocky, you know what I’m talking about, good coaches see particular skills and utilise those skills. Look at Dene Halatau, he must have played every position in the team but Sheens knew he could add enormous value to the team by keeping them rolling down town. Nobody did it better.
It doesn’t matter if it’s round 4 or round 24, there’s no denying that Madden is the best half we have. Benji may be forced to recognise that at some stage, regardless of his liking for Doueihi. And I think you’ll also stop continually calling him a back up half.
I
I still think he’s our best option, but given the positive responses your post got I’m in the minority as you say.
I posted a few seasons ago that Doueihi’s best option would be to learn how to tackle and make that 13 jersey his, but now I read some posters want him in as a centre? At least...
I would still rather madden 7 and Doueihi at 6. It gives us another option in the red zone, otherwise Doueihi is an easier target for the in form Warriors pack.
They could have at least provided some reasons to justify the pay rises.
Some rubbery statistics maybe? Anything lol.
