I do as well but fair dinkum Benji has rocks in his head if this happens. The kid has played what maybe 2-3 games in reggies at 5/8 if that and hasn’t been put into a stable position since making the jump up from juniors.
It really highlights how bad our depth in the club is but even worse how we let players go at the detriment of our overall sqaud.

If he’s picked, it’s obvious he’s only keeping the jersey warm till Latu is fit. You know what Doueihi is going to bring to the table. Which isn’t necessarily bad, but why not just give Mason a week or two to see what he can offer. Could find his niche. He is a good ball runner.

Happy to see Mason get a chance.
Naden was the only other option.
Chapters closed on Naden in my eyes.
Happily never see him take the field again.
Mason is the man for the job, currently.

Like it or not Mason is our best option... API is a hooker and we need him at 9, Douhei just kills our attacking flows,. Mason is a ball runner... that's all he needs to do apart from defend well
I think they’ll probably go for a safer option. Api to half, Romey to 6 and TDS to hooker. We do lack depth.
They probably can. But can they (or anyone else) prove something is not right?

He played 5/8 throughout his juniors. He was the reason Galvin played backrow for the Harold Matts team.
Sure, it’s only a junior level but he’s at least familiar with the position and has ball playing.
Also, what do you want the club to do?
Latu is injured, Bud is on loan, Bird is required to cover the forwards and Galvin is gone. You can only have so much depth.

I think it’s fairly clear the club don’t think he will be here by the end of the week.
Even if he was, it’s not great from a team standpoint if you’re playing a guy who’s already got one foot out the door and has said “I want to be a Bulldog” over a teammate who ‘wants to be a Tiger’.
