Adam Doueihi #227

The Eels were last place and we scored 22 points against them. Below are all Douihis games and starting position.

Thanks for the breakdown. I would also say for each game we should bear in mind Doueihi's contibution with points goals & tries. My thinking is that until we get a good alternative kicker, his contribution on this front also adds essential value with no other great options.

I think the argument being made is that we should re-sign him, but one good game at half doesn't mean he should be our full time halfback.

It also means has played 113 career games...not all of them have been like last week. Let's not lose our heads based on one game.

For example, if he had 2 years left on his contract and he played like that in one game, would we rush to give him a pay rise? No...so just because the timing fits, why would we do it now? 350k-400k is about right for him.

No.
The market determines his value...if we want him thats what we gotta go by generally...unless you're melb and happy to take unders

He's a better full time half back than a half time full back. 😏

Rumour is there was some serious interest from Perth.
I live in Perth. I know it's AFL country but haven't heard a thing about the Bears. I was looking forward to getting involved with them until Meninga was picked as coach and Joe Hockey on the board. Basically saying we want to prop up the next T.V rights and be low to mid table every year.

Is Meninga even over here yet?

But I digress, managers are just using Perth to prop up the salaries. Nothing more.

No.

Yes the market and...

US.

AD isn't a must sign for us. Luai is our halves solid and Fainu could go halfback or 14th man.
With Jock Madden signed we have some injury cover, and we could bring Sullivan back with some distruption.

The market has gone up. Doubt we would sign him for what I think AD is worth and that is 350-400k. More likely 550/600 based on what I am seeing....

Lets do a pro and con:
Pro:
- kicker
- Can act as a 3rd playmaker from Center, this helps take the pressure off the halves and gives us attacking options. (anyone remember when Farah + Marshall would get marked and our attack would struggle).
- When he is on fire, He is on fire.

Con:
- soft/weak tackler. Not very solid on defense.
- Flakey. Sometimes ON sometimes way off his game.
- Hasn't settled into a position
- manged by Issac Moses.

I woudl say No.
