OFFICIAL Lachlan Galvin #277 *Released* Career Discussion.

Usually I’m the first to say that the players would just get on with it. And maybe it’s not something they are showing outwardly, but they must be absolutely livid. They put themselves in a position to win the comp, and then their own coaching staff pulled the rug out from under them. I heard rumblings not long ago that Burton wanted out. If the Dogs bomb out of the finals, I wouldn’t be surprised if those rumblings rear their head again.
It does look like the ex panthers boys are not that happy at the moment. Critta finding it more and more difficult to hide his disdain.

Canberra's last 10 minutes last night wasn't that impressive. Fogarty will need to take more control because they screwed it up 2-3 times at the end there.

But yeah there forward pack is unreal and the backs fast and strong. Give it to Ethan Strange as much as you can and see what he does. Didn't realise he was so big. 1.9m. crazy.
Yes he’s a big boy alright! He’s friends with my next door neighbour’s son. Used to come around for parties after their local footy games here. Central Coast junior. His sister plays for the Roosters in NRLW and dad coaches the Newcastle NRLW team. Big rugby league family, all doing really well.

Good summation of both Galvin and the Bulldogs MT. They definitely should’ve won that game and were unlucky with 2 dropped balls over the tryline.

Melbourne started the better and were great in the first half, especially defensively. I thought they would’ve come out and really gone on with it, because the Dogs playmakers (Galvin especially) looked clueless in the Storm’s 20 metre zone, but the Melbourne that came out in the second half were very scratchy. If they play like that in the finals, they will probably exit very quickly.

Canberra are looking to be the most dominant, stable team at the top at the moment. Whether they can keep that form up through the intensity of a finals campaign though is anyone’s guess.
Think it was 3 dropped balls tbh,but...Melb are missing almost half their team!
Hughes...current international
Warbick..current international
Holbrook..best centre in the club
ASF..international and most damaging forward in the club
Blore..solid 1st grader these days
If a full strength Bulldogs isnt winning last nite, theyve got challenges ahead

There's no way he's 1.9. That would make him nearly the tallest player in the comp.

Ethan Strange 190cm tall??? No chance

One comment I read on the Kennel last night made me chuckle

“I didn’t realise Galvin was so slow”

I always noticed this at our club. Half a gap would open and he was not quick enoguh to go through. You can make it as a great half without pace (EG - Thurston, Cronk), but those guys also had faultless kicking games and were very strong defensively (Galvins defence may improve with size/age...but I don't see his kicking game going much better).

I can’t believe this wasn’t talked about more, considering player welfare is incredibly important now days. How can brandy the chump absolutely rip brooksy apart and humiliate him but give Galvin a glowing reflection. He should be given a stern talking to.
Brandy used to be someone i respected as a pundit of the game..... this year he's dropped down my rankings, big time..

I was speaking to a family friend on Thursday who is close to a current NRL coach. He shared some insights into the goings on of the media and different personalities...

In a nutshell, there are clubs that are highly engaged in using 'personalities' and journos as their puppets to spin their PR messaging.. if you dont do it, you end up on the outter and usually on the back end of alot of negative press in the media.. I am led to believe that tigers don't do much of this, which is why we probably cop all the public flack that we do..

Are the tigers are missing a trick?

Also cronks role at the roosters is up this year .. he has a new gig lined up for next year.. id be lying if i said I knew it was the tigers, but I did see whispers of that somewhere here.. so maybe it adds up?

I noticed it in his debut. He got the ball in broken play, streaked away and looked like he was wearing lead boots.

And that's why there will be hospital passes, defenders will be able to focus more on his runners because he is slow.

True, but it's melbourne...

Look not going to defend the dogs too much, but 3 tries a piece. Dogs loosing on Goal kicking and a penalty. Heck if we faced Melbourne and the score was 20/14 I would be cheering.

That said, yea. When Melbourne can be missing 5 Stars and still beat a top 4 team without breaking a sweat... That's scary good.

All said and done Ryan Pap's hair, Huh?
Galvin looks like he asked the Barber for "Autistic special"? I mean did he deliberately try to combine the Bowl with the Mullet?
Meanwhile why hasn't Stefano been held down by his teammates and been forced to shave off the worst Moe I have seen on a NRL field. Reagan CG wore the moe so so well. Stef, it's not even Pornstarche bad.. it's worse>...

Am I the only one seeing this? https://www.nrl.com/draw/nrl-premiership/2025/round-25/storm-v-bulldogs/
