It’s was a poison chalice that unless he started winning straight away was always gunna end poorly. He should never have taken that job. Especially the way it was done.
But an EPL gig as manager, you don’t say no.

Inevitable given his results, doubt he’ll ever coach in EPL again. Japan or Middle East possibly ?
The shooting star has come back to Earth.
Pity because his Asian Cup win, World Cup qualification and Premiership wins with Roar and Victory remain highlights of his contribution to Aussie soccer.

It's a tough gig.
Here's a Nott's commentator's version of life at Trentside:

Ange Postecoglou's 39-day disaster at Nottingham Forest—five goalless league defeats and a Europa League flop—slots him second on the Premier League's hall of shame for shortest reigns, nipping just behind Sam Allardyce's 30-day Leeds sideshow.

But let's call the bluff: appointing a possession-obsessed Aussie to a counter-punch squad mid-season, sans preseason? Forest's owners lit the fuse, not Ange's tactics.

This isn't failure—it's sabotage.
Who's next in the Trentside turnover?

BBC Sport went inside the story:

Never say never Hal.
It’s not a good look on ya resume, he just needed to be patient he would have got another gig off the back of that spurs win but now there’s an after taste like Pepsi.
He should be patient this time but ya don’t wanna miss the season either. I wonder if ol’Greek billionaire mate took his fake award trophy back?

The Aussie A Leagues are popular again this year.
But nothing as wonderful as today on the Central Coast.

Newcastle Jets FC brought an ARMY of travelling fans for the F3 Derby!
An absolutely brilliant turnout from the travelling Jets’ fans in Gosford - they’ve even had to open up the second level to fit them all in!

Aston Villa record their first away win of the season coming back from an early Spurs goal to win 2-1, with their winning goal a ripper - Emi Buendia curled a stunning effort from outside the box into the bottom corner.
Spurs had lots of chances but, simply, Villa took theirs.

Game-week 8 is not over yet.
And then there was one.
Tomorrow morning Wests Ham take on Brentford, a game where both sides will be desperate for points.

But wait, there's more to this one.
There are some factions of West Ham supporters who are incensed at the club owners and their social media is leaving nothing unsaid:
