Apparently his clauses wouldve been removed had richo stuck around so PNG wouldve been moot...however I think this is probably a but of forum fiction tho...something, li ke.most things here none of us will ever know

And as far as being a straight shooter, Farah came out later and admitted he did have that conversation with Gorden Tallis about Mick Potter's coaching approach. Said it was untrue but it absolutely was. Was skipping press conferences and had lost his head before that big game against the Roosters in 2014..... He was gossiping to a pundit. Supposed to be our Captain.

Agreed, but I doubt clubs had the cap to fit in a 1.2 million player as a last minute june 30 signing.
Plus none of that needs to happen if we don't allow him to negotiate with PNG until November 1 in the first place.
the way it seems to be working out listening to the chit chat here ,Romeys money just gets sunk into propping up the ship to move forward 2 more spaces ,until it catches up with us to upgrade maybe Jovan n Latu ,and we do the whole balance the salary cap again. I want as a supporter for those 2 kids to do next year in Reggies , get Nikorema , O Sullivan or Humphries in the side to saddle up with Dougyhowser for another low placed spot at worst ,then set those 2 kids free .Jovon doesn't have the mentality , and Latu the physic ,yet . Whats another year in the grand scheme of things

as for stalling negotiations and making him stick out his contract ,well thats just about as fluid as the salary cap .

No he’s saying they front loaded 200k from luai to this season cap . So now his next season contract is 1mil instead of 1.2m . And the eels are taking care of 700-800k of the 1mil . So we are paying luai 200-300k . It’s not 500k.
My guess is all the journos have done is contracted the eels and asked how much they’re chipping in , and run with that answer .

That's still 400-500, just a different accounting treatment. That forward loading space could have been used for anyone.
Lets hope it's more around 300 with 100 frontloaded

I was under the impression he did say it but as a private Conversation, not to be reported on. also told by another member of that team that potter is a great assistant coach but not much chop as head coach
