I find their reporting can be disingenuous, constantly bringing up Flanagan because he works there & is Moses-aligned. Also Charlie White is an absolute tool.

Morris can’t coach defence, Hodgo can’t coach attack, Marshall can’t run the show.
It’s been 4 years of utter dogshit since Madge was boned.
We can’t rebuild, can’t compete until a new regime commences.

This is starting to get silly. Our club, along with the Warriors, has had the most head coaches over the past 20 years.
We’ve had 11 coaches, which averages out to just 6.6 months per coach.
What a joke. Thanks, HBG, for the lack of direction and the inability to build a successful club.

I really don’t understand this thinking. At the end of the day, it’s a business that should be focused on being successful.
If the club is doing well, they will make money. Yet it feels like they’re actively trying to destroy our club.
I understand that they want to rebrand it as the Wests Magpies, but they’re dreaming. It will never happen.
They’ll lose their licence before this ever gets to that point.

Most dont want the supposed rebrand to Magpies in NRL. Coaching & CEO issues are long standing concerns as far back as Mayer (?), Humphrey's, Sheens and the conga line of coaches after. I think part of the issue is a lack of strategy towards the future. So many issues on that front.

They aren’t qualified & are only there because of the debenture system so making money means nothing to them, it isn’t their money to begin with. And if we were financially viable they know we wouldn’t need them. Strong people in the organisation is just a threat to their power

I like Morris he is a really nice fella but it was time. Hopefully all the other coaches go as well. If Benji stays then he needs experienced coaches with him. I don’t even care what history they have as long as they have had success. Pretty embarrassing when Ian Millward (Perth Bears) says on radio they were stoked when Luke L signed with Warriors so he could get at least half a year of good defensive coaching. Worst part of his comments was it was true. It’s time for egos to be put aside and right man for the job needs to be the attitude.

Is it normal for the State Cup coach to be part time and have a dual role as pathways director?
It seems like a structural issue with the coaching set up to me. I’d imagine it would be difficult to give adequate focus and attention to both.
I honestly don’t know enough about coaching structures to be fair though.
Maybe coaching directors would take on the pathways role at other clubs?
I think it’s pretty clear the club has duplicated issues across the coaching set up though. Inexperienced head coach, inexperienced general manager, relatively inexperienced assistants, and a rookie CEO.
Seemed to me that Richo had the experience and ability to play a dual GM and CEO role. Shaun doesn’t have that experience which you can’t really expect. I think he failed in appointing Richards as GM though.
That’s where he and Marshall need to be better. They’ve got to avoid replicating flaws and actually look at what skills are necessary and what gaps exist in their skills and experience and recruit accordingly.

I find it a bit odd the club doesn’t look at the NRLW set up as a blueprint.
They created a Head of Women’s Football position, appointed someone very qualified into the role, appointed an experienced coach and focused on adding depth to the playing roster.
I know that’s an oversimplification but surely there’s some lessons learned here that could be used in the football department set up for the men’s team.
